Last time I checked he was in the Top 5 of most draft boards for next year. The coaches and scouts must see something you don't.

I agree and we could be, but I think Florida State could be as well. Very tough ask game 1.

However, the fact we were 9-2 and number 5 going into the last week of the season last year gives me hope we could be even better this year, since we’ve filled some areas of need.

This board needs a 3 month period of no posting privileges for new users.

Case in point this OP.

They’re the favorite for the west again. Gotta beat FSU convincingly and they’ll hang around the top 5 all season.

Some dumb arse responses in this thread. Y’all do realize MG in Nola is a world famous tradition right? It might not be appealing to you, but it is what the region is known for.

And for a 21-22 y/o college kid, the popular decision would be to attend.

If he is at the 3DQB place then that means he is in California. Likely paid for by LSU, so it isn't like he is fighting off some urge to go to New Orleans. And I am sure he can find a party in Cali if he wanted to.

The kid has never given any LSU fan a reason to hate him, he’s been a good leader, a loyal teammate and a True Tiger. Yet still some harbor a vehement hatred for him.

Yes but that is a mature perspective. These are young adults that are wanting to experience everything all at once. Can't blame them with all of the stupid shite myself and others did during college.

I do agree though, I haven't been to Mardi Gras since I was 22 and I don't plan on ever going back.

Right because anything that is fun for the population and brings in assloads of money into the community is stupid.

He could have used the Mardi gras experience to improve his throwing and also avoiding sacks in the pocket.

When I first moved to Louisiana, there was no way I was missing my first mardi gras. I would think it would be a bigger deal for someone who has never been.

Wasn't that year reserved for Walker Howard

I bet and it's just a hunch... that your shrimp boat washing arse was partying it up when LSU beat bama last year. As well as the other wins!

"I’m happy that he’s “passing” on Mardi Gras but would be more happy if he was “passing” downfield.

Just remember Jalen Hurts was replaced by Tua because he wasn't as good a downfield passer. Look at him now. Saying he's incapable means you think you know more about what he can be than he does. He gets an entire offseason to work with better coaching than he's ever had with better weapons than he's ever had and an offensive line that will be better than last year. The arrogance of you to say what someone can and can't do speaks volumes about you.

If he wants to be an NFL QB then he’s doing what he needs to do to put himself in position to be successful. He has the physical tools he just needs to trust his WR’s more than his own legs.

Totally missed the point. It is not mardi gras he is missing, it was the opportunity of a 4 day for holiday.
