I bought a 2023 Telluride SX-P X-Pro three weeks ago.
Had a 2017 Tahoe LT before the Telluride. I was down to a Telluride, Palisade and Highlander as my choices. Depending on what you’re looking for and I’d imagine area Palisade was easiest to find, Telluride base models were available as were the Highlander. Telluride has 16 models, as you start moving up into the Prestige lines they get harder to find.
If you’re wanting one of the top end models plan to order (6-8 months) or cast a wide net to find abandoned custom orders. When I was searching there were only four available 23 SxP Xpros in the US.

Not to change the subject here but since we are on the midsize SUV discussion, what is the OTs opinion on the Aviator?
I’m a basic bitch who sometimes needs some fancy.

It's a Ford, so have an emergency fund for repairs

The prices for the Highlander are stupid. 50k for an average looking mid size SUV

My wife drives a Palisade and thing will do just about everything short of cook dinner. It’s nice.
Are we talking about the wife here or the car? I’m confused.

My mom just got rid of her Nautilus and my sister drives a Navigator. They are nice vehicles that are more on the luxury side, kinda like the QX60 and the MDX. The biggest problem I see with those vehicles are the depreciation value. They definitely don’t hold their re sale value like the Honda or Toyota models.

You paid >50k for a Kia?

Sienna still better.

Go test drive a Telluride. They are amazing.

So they made an SUV look like a minivan but just didn’t call it a minivan?

We’ve had an Aviator for about 2.5 years. We haven’t had any issues, a few recalls that were taken care of by the dealership and they gave us a loaner while the recall was being handled. I don’t have any complaints, it’s comfortable, has nice acceleration for a vehicle of that size, and has been a good vehicle for us (we were coming off of being BMW owners, which was a nightmare in regards to repairs )

Took me a few months to realize they changed their logo. I thought it was a new electric car company or something.
According to this random site, I wasn't the only one: Creative Bloq: The new Kia logo commits the ultimate design crime

I’m actually a consumer looking to buy my next SUV. Currently drive an Infiniti QX60 that has about 120k miles on it. Wife just got a regular highlander.
This is what I don't understand, in a 2-car family, why would you want two of the same kind of car?
I would think you'd want a pickup, or a fuel efficient commuter sedan, or maybe a convertible sport coupe. Something that could offer a different use.
But two Highlanders?

Have a friend who purchased one last year. Had it less than a month and it developed a terrible wind noise on the passenger door.

We have a big family (currently 9 people) and need 2 SUV’s. When we vacation, we will likely needs to travel using 2 vehicles.
I’ve also never been a truck guy. They are way overpriced now and I’ve never had the need to pull anything heavy. I usually get a SUV, put a tow package on it, and use a trailer when I need to haul anything that’s too big for my cargo area. I’m looking at both the 2023 Pilot and the new Grand Highlander. I’ve considered upgraded my QX60 to a new one, because it’s been a good vehicle for me, but I just want something different.
I’m also intrigued by Toyota’s Hybrid engine options and with an SUV that can get 34mpg, it’s definitely appealing.

My wife's GMC Acadia Denali has been fantastic. It's worth a look.

If I might hijack this advertising thread, what would be the OT's recommendation for replacing my Toyota Land Cruiser? I've got a 2016 (my second one) that I can squeeze another couple years out of, but since Toyota dropped the LC I don't know what's the most comparable SUV out there. I do occasionally need for off road and towing, legit 4 wheel drive is a must. I just don't like the Lexus version, and would seem out of place on the farm.
