I haven't touched mine. These PS5 broom controls can get fricked though. I wish I could customize my controller a bit for it.

They're hilariously bad. Also the fact that you can't look up or down while on it is crazy to me. Such a basic feature, especially for an open world RPG.

As a continued critique on the map aspect, for the Moon Man quest it would be great to have an area-by-area, full-sized version of what we see on the mini-map but that shows shaded general areas where the statues may be found. The school is so fricking large that just saying "look around" is ridiculous (see also: those quests with sketched pictures making up a "map" in the greater world). That moves from "fun" to "tedious" for me.

Man I looked up a guide to find demeguise to get Alohomora II. Not having the next level was blocking off too much of the world and I did not want to do something that tedious so frick it.

This game feels like some weird Double A RPG game released by a developer from Eastern Europe even though from what I can tell, the developers are American.

Eh the map is too big and detailed for that. The dialogue and characters kind of feel that way though.

I'm playing on PC but found using a game controller to be far easier for broom/flying. On the XBox it's hold LB then hit B. Combat and menus seem to work better for me with keyboard/mouse.

I remapped drop elevation to the right mouse key. That unfricked flying for me on kb/m. Space to rise, right click to drop. Left click to boost.

And when you're doing the flying trials, sometimes the camera just goes wonky and even though you're flying in a straight line you can't see where the hell you're going enough to line up with the gate. Trying to adjust the camera just adjusts your broom to recenter the camera instead of vice versa, and then you get off course. I've been fiddling with the camera settings but can't find a sweet spot where it doesn't suddenly swing wide when I'm trying to turn. If anyone has a functional set of sliders for that I would appreciate them. Even with it fricking up I can get to like 2m30s but if it would stay behind me where it's supposed to I'd be fine.

Can't get past the broom race on the coast on PS5. The turn are just too crazy with trying to fix the camera angle at the same time.

Is this the 2nd or 3rd trial? I haven’t gotten to the 3rd yet, but the 2nd gave me anxiety.

It's the world we live in now. Anything put in Europe or the US, no matter the time period, must now have representation of all races and at least one gay or trans character (and they generally have to be portrayed in a positive light).

There isn't. First, Hogwarts is in Scotland. Second, most of the "diversity" are people who are in the area because of Hogwarts, one of the largest wizarding universities in the world. Some are students, some are professors, some are former of either group but stayed in the area, not dissimilar to my living in Baton Rouge after graduating from LSU.

And while this level of diversity at a university doesn't fit in our historical time and place of 1800s Scotland, in a world in which witches and wizards can, quite literally, teleport, the idea that there would be a significant amount of racial, ethnic, and cultural intermingling in the wizarding world isn't exactly far-fetched, especially when that intermingling would be the primary way to increase your knowledge of magic, and therefore your power.

ETA: I know I responded to Guacho, which I generally avoid doing, but I've been seeing questions/comments like this quite a bit, so I figured I would give my opinion on the subject, generally.

It really is immersion breaking and makes no sense.

All of the gay people is weird too.

Same thing happened with me, I spent so much time exploring I neglected the main quest. I just now unlocked talents at level 20 so I immediately had 15 talent points to spend

Did we ever confirm that some houses have more quests with them? Because someone was saying they’ve done the second trial and are still on 33% while I haven’t even done the second yet but I’m at 40

There are tons of side quests. Those people likely just aren’t doing them.
