What's the most cash you've ever withdrawn/deposited from/to a bank?

Saw this video on Reddit. Found it on YouTube.

LINK

When I sold my truck a few weeks ago, the buyer told me they couldn't get the $8500 cash from the bank. The most they could get was $6500 and the other $2000 from a cashier's check. The $6500 was basically all they had in the drawers inside, and nothing in the vaults.

I thought that was kind of crazy considering it was such a "low" amount compared to most instances. Then I saw the above video.

I pulled out $20k a few years ago. If memory serves, I had to make 3 stops at different BofAs to get it all out.

Yea, without prior notice, most of these little branches don’t hold much cash.

There a regulations (some from the gov, some org specific) governing how much they can have on hand at any one time. They must also balance the need to service one customer vs all customers. They can “order” your money for large transactions.

10K. Guy wanted me to pay him in cash and wouldn't accept meeting at the bank for a cashiers check. So we met at the bank and I gave him the money.

i pulled out 58k to pay for my pool in 2020. I work at the bank so i told the manager what i was doing and he made sure the day i did it there was enough cash on hand. banks keep a small amount of cash on hands for security issues. Also 99% of customers are depositing cash not taking it out. The branch i worked at was robbed a few years back. they took all the cash the tellers had that day. 6k. dude got caught an hour after robbing the bank. funny part was 2 hours after he left a customer who deposits large amounts of cash weekly walked in and deposited 80k.

I pulled 15k for a one week trip out to Vegas a few years back.

My younger brother owns a construction company and pulls 50k every Friday to pay all his subs that want cash instead of company checks.

yep, most bank branches do. Police came in took a copy of the footage from all the cameras and took peoples statements. While they where at the branch the call came in that they had pulled the guy over in a stolen car and arrested him. 2 hours later we opened back up. I wasn't at the branch when it happened. I showed up later in the day and heard all about it

$20k, which ended up being almost all the branch had on-hand. When they confirmed the amount, I asked if I could get it all in pennies. You could have heard a pin drop.

Usually you need to call and schedule a large cash pickup. Any bank will do it, they have to. I pulled $30k cash to buy a gun once.

I also use to order cash for my previous employer, we would order upwards of two million for a week but usually it was around $1 million a week. Believe it or not the banks deliver those amounts, I thought we had to pay for the armored car service, and I am sure ultimately the business pays, but I didn't know it went through the bank.

Deposited $90K cash once. That was cool.

Bank Manager called in the higher ups. We weren’t allowed to leave. Lots of questions about whether we have accounts at other banks. Where did the money come from? Showed them our business and the events the week prior. Ultimately amounted to nothing.
