I use it in 2 strokes.

left it in blower that didn't run for 2 years for lack of pull starter. When I fixed that, it started fine.

I admit, I don't need a ton of it so cost isn't that much of an issues and maintenance of small things like that is not my strong suit

How does one practically remove 100s/1000s of little small soil cores from the lawn?

Aerating vs Dethatching

Posted by Stateguy on 3/19/26 at 6:27 am
More interested in my yard looking good (think it's a sign of old age for me)

On Northshore
Yard is primarily St Aug and established about 12 years.

I've never aerated or dethatched. Have raked and removed some thatch in parts of yard. But for most part I just mow and left shavings. I've been here 7 years, almost certain guy before me did nothing like this either.

I have access to core aerator. Hopeful that this would help general health of yard.
Questions are if I do aerate
Would I need to remove all the cores removed? Or do you typically just let them breakdown?
Would it possible help the drainage thru the soil as it's a clay heavy soil? would this require adding sand

Or am I completely wrong and should I rent a dethather? What I've read typically suggest since it's never been aerated or dethatched that aerating is better
Guy at work told me about Single Shot trusts as an option to easily add people - almost as if it couldn't be done with the "regular" gun trust. But if expecting to buy multiple suppressors (haven't heard anyone stop at 1), do most people still use the single shot?

Major insurers like Blue Cross simply purchased from the compounding pharmacies and that's why your Ozempic, Zepbounds, Mounjaros, etc were a 10.00 a month co-pay.

Insurance companies were not doing this at all
People who did this, did it on their own. Insurance companies are not pushing medications that are not the FDA approved version.

Suppressors/Gun Trust/Cost

Posted by Stateguy on 1/3/26 at 5:27 am
Have been dragging my feet for some time on getting a suppressor(s) but will sometime this year.

With removal of the stamp cost (obviously still have paperwork to file), does it change your thoughts on putting suppressor in a trust? Since you can transfer to someone else now without a fee. Have heard in past that wait time is much shorter for person getting stamp vs trust getting stamp (see note below)

Have there been a prediction thread on what happens to suppressor cost with removal of stamp cost? I have seen people talk about a new wait b/c people delayed buying to 2026, but I assume that works out in a few months.

there's some story out there about how this occurred

Basically made Claypool a sanctuary by using guns and cannons on every bit of water around

Could say the first time, that lint might have contributed to element failing. Hard to saw that the second time. And I definitely made sure the exhaust was clean after the second time.

Kenmore Dryer Question

figure it's worth a shot to see if anyone can help

Kemore dryer - approx 10-12 years old. Same as Whirlpool Cabario and Maytag Bravio when it was new.

have replaced heating element twice. Maybe 4-5 years ago and again 5 months ago. Not heating again. Assume it's element again and have one ordered. Kind of a pain but going to replace again

My question - should I be looking for something else for this to happen again? I've tested the thermal fuse and other stuff and appears fine. The element was clearly broken each time.

Almost ready to say screw it and get the speed queen dryer to match the washing machine
a bunch of different snap caps
