Fake as hell

Didn’t have any issues sprinting 25 yards for that last first down

Baw, did you see the gif. He inverted his ankle. Plus, looks like he has a lower leg contusion.

Highly embellished.

What a hero! Doing his job that he's paid to do!

They took him off the injury report completely. You don’t do that if you’re trying to embellish an injury

shite threads like this make me wish Burrow had gone to play for the Browns and never been heard from again. I want to like him, but the absolute ridiculous worship and do no wrong and ref bullshite here make s me not. His pimp suits don't help him either.

When you have an ankle sprain, you still very well may be able to move pretty well in a relatively straight line. Its when its resting, when you have to pivot to change direction, or if it gets hit again-that's when the pain really comes.

I had zero problem with Burrow until I joined this website. The LSU fans here that have his poster above their bed don't even realize how cringe they are.

Its 100% real and you don't embellish an injury when you are playing for a spot in the Super Bowl. His teammates would see right through him if he was faking at all

This is a ludicrous take

He was definitely injured. You could tell he was genuinely limping multiple times. Even on his throws, he couldn't follow through the way he wanted because of the ankle. He's a tough SOB. Also I'm sure they dosed him up with the highest pain medicine possible.

I got a high ankle sprain once playing football and it looked exactly like that gif. fricking painful.

The trainer taped it up, gave me some ibuprofen, and I finished the game. Adrenaline makes you do some crazy things

Soon as that game finished. frick. I thought my ankle completely fell of from my foot. I was literally crying like a baby from the pain. I ended up missing the next 2 weeks before I returned. But my ankle didn't truly heal up to 100% for a good 3-4 months later.

Mahomes Injury: Fake or Real?
After watching Mahomes in the game against the Bengals, I would say that his "so called high ankle sprain" was highly embellished or exagerated. There's no way he was nursing the injury and it not be aggravated even more during the duration of the game. He was being hit from all directions and still managed to complete the game.
I call bullshite!
So your assertion is that he purposely made himself less mobile than he could be to sell a fake injury?

Eh, it gives me a reason to watch games and be invested when the Cowboys inevitably shite the bed. I mean, on an LSU website, are you surprised people like the guy? He seems like a genuinely good dude.

The funny part to me is how, as someone pointed out, lots of posters turned on Brees right away despite him being one of few bright spots for NOLA over the last couple of decades.

I used to think the worship of Tim Tebow was annoying, but now I realize that I would take that in a heartbeat over the people that fanboy over Lebron.

Also seem to be the same guys who crucify Brees for walking back his kneeling comments while purposefully remaining ignorant to Burrows comments.

What comments has Burrow ever walked back? When did he put a rapist's name on his helmet?

ETA: As for OP, Mahomes was 100% hurt and limited by his injury. It was clear as day he was not 100%

I've never seen him walk anything back. You and I both know the people piling on Drew aren't because he "walked it back" but because he was the most prominent "Stand for the Anthem, Respect the Flag" athlete. Burrow was one of the ones to come out against Brees when it happened. "How can you dismiss their pain...I stand.. I stand with my black borthers".

Wasn't this the entire team? The Saints "tribute" when the sports world cancelled games and everything else in the aftermath? Would the equivalent be marching with your team and making demands at the courthouse in the aftermath of the Blake shooting?

I'm not saying your opinion and others of Brees isn't fair. Only that just like the "CAMthers" and the like, a lot of LSU fans purposefully turn blind eyes to Burrows political views and "style" as well as their own behavior if Burrow is involved. Auburn "CAMther" fans were seen as pathetic and Brees is 'woke' are the same people wearing Bengals jerseys into the Dome. Absolutely entitled to your opinion. Just don't get upset when people call you out for being a hypocrite.

It is real. Friend of my daughter saw him here in KC that Monday after the game. I asked her if he had a boot on and she said no, but you could see that it was really bruised. GO CHIEFS!

He folded to media pressure. No shite many turned on him.

Most don't give a frick that Burrow leans left, he's never insinuated otherwise. But when Brees decided to give up his values to cater to the mob, a great many lost respect for him. That's warranted IMO

Who cares, Brees could have said no and didn't. Burrow has never done anything like that, so trying to act like it's hypocritical to not respect Brees for that and like Burrow is just on overall shitty take.

You're gonna need to come up with something different, nothing hypocritical here.

Dude had the entire sports, entertainment, media, and majority of his local area come after him and accuse him of having a white hood in his closet as well as threatening his and his family. He was also probably about to lose out on a lot of his financial viability moving forward. He made a "business decision" for he and his family. His values didn't change, he just realized you can't say the quiet part out loud without fear of retribution from the "woke" world.

Burrow has never done anything like that

So he didn't march down to city hall with his team after the Blake incident and give a tearful speech apologizing for his whiteness and how he has know his skin color makes him different since HS?

quote:

nothing hypocritical here.

Deflect, deflect, ignore...

ETA: Clarify he gave the speech to his team prior to the call to cancel OTA's and march, not on the steps of city hall.

He looked like a statue most of the game. And when he tried to run it was stiff and awkward. He had several opportunities to make plays with his legs and could not do it. I think the injury was real.
