But that’s easily the loudest I have ever heard the PMAC during a stretch in the 4th quarter when we had an 8-0 run. Maybe there were some big time men’s games the old schoolers can enlighten me on. But from my experience I’ve never heard the PMAC louder.

It was a very good atmosphere tonight, but it has been much louder. Many times in the 80s. When we beat #1 Arizona in 2002. Not so much lately.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but there were some massive alley oops in the late 90’s early 00’s with Stromile and Jabari Smith Sr(Fuk im old) that were amazingly loud.
Be good to hear some opinions from others who may have been to a few of the best environments in the PMAC.

I wasn't there and didn't watch tonight, so can't compare, but when I was a kid in the 90s and 2000s, the men's basketball games were usually rockin'. Especially when a team like Kentucky would come to town.

It got the deaf dome nickname for a reason. I know it's hard to imagine (besides tonight), but that place used to regularly be packed with some very loud and engaged fans.

Sadly, as those fans have gotten older and while our basketball program had horrible coaches and horrible seasons, it seems those fans with the passion that grew up when basketball was the game in town bc football sucked, haven't really been replaced. And I can't blame them, outside a few years of Wade, it's been hard to show strong support for a subpar product.

It was so loud during Dale’s tenure that they’d suspend this gaudy decibel meter from the roof that lit up and showed everyone how loud the deaf dome really was.

It was awesome when they had like 3-4 steals in a row late. White out looked like a crazy atmosphere!

Nothing will match the 80's. Hell the student section alone was prime seating and louder. There were lines the night before to get in. Don't know that we'll ever get there again.

It amazes me. No matter what sport at LSU if you win they will come and will come loud. Maybe Woodward finally figured it out and that’s why he’s hiring the best coaches. Softball and gymnastics should be next and I think LSU will have one of the best overall coaching staffs in America.

1990 vs UNLV and against Loyola Marymount the atmosphere was electric. I believe one of those games was on Superbowl Sunday

When I was at LSU during the late 80s with Dale Brown's good teams and the student section mid-court the PMAC was very loud on the regular year after year.
