Apparently word on da screet is that Norris may bolt for Checo's seat a year early...which would be very ironic for Palou given his current predicament with Mclaren.

I don't want to see Pato or Colton go to F1, since they form the bedrock of the next generation of Indycar talent to help the series claw back to where it was in the 90s, however Idgaf if Palou goes because he's kind of boring.

Since Pato and Colton don't have the Super License (total joke) , I wonder who Zak would hire for the 2nd Mclaren... Checo maybe?

They have no one in their pipeline outside of Herta and Pato.

They can hire back the one guy who has won a race for McClaren in the past decade or more

I lol'd.

First time posting since the race. Might have topped last week as my favorite race of the year. Was nice to see Max in the action at least for 10 laps or so. Seems like he hasn't had to really race someone more than a few turns all year long.

happy for Carlos. He drove his arse off all race. All weekend for that matter.

Continuing to root harder and harder for Albon every week. IMO, he's been the most impressive driver on the track this year, outside of Max (not a Max fan but regardless he deserves credit for an already all-time great season). If he keeps it up he has an outside shot at finishing around 10th. Be hard to do but I could see one or two of Gasly, Stroll or Ocon dropping. I think jumping Piastri would probably be the harder challenge.

I know things can change in a year and a half but I just don't see why RB would even want to change drivers. I'm not a Checco fan but he is doing exactly what RB would want a #2 driver to do. 2nd in points and on the rare occasion when Max doesn't win, he wins. Couldn't ask for much better.

I think their expectation is when given the best car on the grid then at worst you'd better come second-best or be pretty damn close and be on the podium. Sergio's issue has really been trash qualifying putting him on the backfoot during races.

Also, Red Bull knows the field will eventually get closer so they want someone they can count on the be up there to help Max and let them make alternate strategy calls.

Perez finished outside the top 2 eight times so far this year while driving the car that has won every single race with ease.

That is not exactly what RB wants. Max has a DNF for whatever reason and there is a very good chance Perez will not be in position to pick up the win as shown in this year's results.

And assuming RB continues to have the same advantage over the field in the coming seasons is not realistic. Perez will cost them a lot of points as the field closes up on RB.

Steiner says they are going to Red Bull style bodywork as they cannot find gains in the tunnel with the current concept. Apparently the revised bodywork will appear this season.

For 2024 Ferrari will have a new rear suspension, so Haas will as well.

It should be noted Ferrari went to RB style sidepods a number of races ago and were having tire eating issues on par with Haas prior to the change.

i agree checo has not been pulling his full weight. he needs to get his qualifying dialed in. and i like that RBR is being proactive for when they aren't so far ahead with their car. the scoring % for max vs checo isn't as bad as i thought though when compared to other teams...
