Neither DoorDash or GrubHub is not widely available in the Baton Rouge area. For this particular restaurant, they only use ASAP for deliveries.

But that's okay. I won't make the mistake again.

That's what you get for being lazy.

My worst experience:

I ordered Chipotle through door dash (iirc) for me and the two kids.

The driver shows up but only picked up the bag containing the chips. I noticed the bag weighed next to nothing when I was expecting 2 quesadillas and a burrito bowl.

I asked where the rest of it was and she said "I must have only grabbed one of the bags." She said nothing else for a couple long seconds then asked what I wanted her to do about it. I said I want you to go get my food... She hesitated and said "uhh ok"

After she left I immediately got on with their customer support and got my refund as I assumed she wasn't coming back. Spoiler alert... She didn't.

Worst part was selling the kids on eggs for dinner when they were very excited about that cookie that comes with the kids quesadilla.

None of these services are a thing where I’m at and I don’t know if I’d ever use it. It’s hard to think about my food being handled by someone in a vehicle that’s probably disgusting.

I know a lot of people don't want to get out in shitty weather, but the fee's these food delivery people charge, and the constant frick ups isn't worth using them.

So the moral of the story is - don't be a lazy piece of shite and go pick up your own food. Got it.

Doordash is easier to use in my opinion.

I was at a friend's house during Christmas, and I had ordered Chick-Fil-A for us and his girlfriend. App said it delivered and it never did. We walked all around the house looking for it.

Contacted the driver directly through the app. Never heard back. Requested a refund through the app saying it never delivered, and got it back in DoorDash credits almost immediately.

About 10-15 minutes later, the driver messages back asking for the address again. I type it in, sent it, and they said that it was delivered 2 doors down from us.

Walked down the street and there it was on someone else's porch.

Free Chick-Fil-A and free DoorDash credits for the inconvenience and incompetence of the driver.

Sometimes, dealing with the larger apps will provide a better service.

Meh; the doordash annual pass is covered by my Amex and that wipes out the fees.

A pizza from the business is different, it’s in a hotbag until it got to me. Not handed off to a stranger not associated with the business. If anything is wrong I can get a refund or speak directly to them as they’re responsible.

We’re not discussing that, this thread is about places who don’t deliver and use a independent service.

It started in Lafayette so that's why it was good at first. Lafayette is in Louisiana so that's why it turned to shite.

After going public and hiring a new CEO they followed the lead of the other apps and got rid of employee deliverers. Cost cutting measure that immediately showed up in the quality.

My wife will very occasionally use one of the grocer delivery services. Last week she placed an order for 8 things at 3:00 and the deliver time was set for between 4:00 and 5:00.

Driver didn’t show by 5 so my wife sent a few text. Girl responded that she was enroute. Another 15 minutes and nothing. So by 5:45 we canceled the order after getting no responses from the delivery person.

Wife goes to the store to get the things herself and found a basket sitting in the produce section that had most of her original order in it. Delivery driver must have accepted a better order or for losses when we cancelled and just walked out of the store.

I hate any and all delivery services. When I’m home I won’t even order pizza delivery.

The fact that you think that’s different is laughable. They use their personal cars and could do whatever to the pizza.

Doordash is sealed with a sticker and they have bags too.

Yeah it’s such a great service and spot on that there’s threads daily of frick ups.

And pizza delivery isn’t fricked a
Occasionally? I order lunch via doordash for my team multiple times a week and it’s seamless. If there is an issue it’s easily corrected.

Tell me how being an employee vs a contractor makes their cars less disgusting or less likely to frick with your food?
