Check in if you think LSU can do better than Will Wade

Why do so many of you seem to think that Will Wade is the only coach that can lead LSU to success? For the record, based on the early returns, I don't think McMahon is that guy. Hopefully he proves me wrong, but if not there are plenty of coaches out there better qualified than Wade who we can get. Let it go. He isn't coming back.

McMahon was the guy that Woody was using to get LSU through whatever sanctions that the basketball program was going to receive. Now that LSU is not going to be put on probation, I’m sure Woody will be on the lookout for the next big name guy he can overpay to come in and try to turn this thing around.

I used to think that with our history (4 final fours Shaq Maravich Jackson etc that we were better than an up and coming mid major (ie will Wade) but after several searches I don’t think we are. Maybe with some facilities investments Woodward can lure an unhappy guy like a buzz Williams
Mid major guys are high risk high reward. For every Nate oats or Eric musselman you get a Stan heath or Anthony grant.
Is there a mid major guy out there better than will Wade? Sure. But there’s a hell of a lot more guys out there a lot lot worse. Guys who looked every bit like the surest thing ever like Shaka smart don’t end up translating.
We had our guy. Maybe we did have to fire him but don’t expect people to be happy about it

We can definitely do better than McMahon which is the only relevant issue.

Based on the circumstances at that particular moment in time, I thought MM was an excellent hire.
I hope he turns out to be.
He isn't getting it done right now, but it's his first season.

Just because a random poster said that he heard that wade wasn’t getting a show cause doesn’t mean we’re not still getting hammered.
We will still have a postseason ban and I hope that fricker is here tomorrow. They will wait till we have a good team or we go on some run next year and then hammer us

McMahon is better than Wade. We just have to rebuild the program from scratch because of how Wade left it.
