I used to give the ladies at LSU my beeper number

LOL If you were really tight with someone you would give them a shout out during the day by beeping them with "14" or "01134" as call back number.

A primitive txt hack back in the day.
Check it out if you still have an LCD calculator.
Held upside down reads "hi or hello"

laff now but it was better technology than they had for the moonshot.

Sorry for the dup post, guys!
Apparently my tech savy is still the 80s!

My first job out of college I had to have a pocket full of quarters to check voicemails from pay phones. Remember when our company got their first mobile phone….you were hot shite if you got to take “the phone” with you on a business trip.

I breathed a big sigh looking at that picture. Bittersweet nostalgia. Thanks for posting.

The movie “Phone Booth” staring Colin Farrell came out in 2002. The whole movie is a dude using a pay phone in 2002.

For sure. Maybe because of how much smart phone technology has been ingrained into our daily lives, it sometimes feels like they’ve been around longer than they have. The IPhone didn’t come out until 2007, the year I graduated college. I had a Nokia but didn’t even carry it around with me when I left the dorms. Unlimited minutes weren’t a thing, texting took forever, and the height of quick communication was AIM. The dying embers of the days of still have a little bit of freedom from constant accessibility.

I was in outside sales early '90s. You had to have the ashtray full of quarters and know the hotels that had a lobby phone that allowed outside calls. We had a long distance calling card thru MCI. When my manager would come into town for a ride along with his brick phone, it would be in use by him or I the entire day. My biggest commission deal in sales was signed on the trunk of a Chevy Malibu company car in the parking lot of The Colorado Club at 630 pm after a 6 hour lunch. Good times.

Speaking of pay phones. Why did Boudreaux put a dime in his rubber? Meh if he couldn’t cum he would call.

Time Saver ICEES especially with the Halloween coupons!

I lived in Metairie for a few years in my youth. It was a treat to go to the Time Saver! I had forgotten about that store chain. Are they still around LA?

When we moved to TX it was all Circle K and then 7-11.

You grew up in the 80s if you’re phone rang at home and it said “collect call from…mom come pick me up”.

Love that photo.

Millennial's, you should know, spread out over 5-6 years, for an average 45 total days your moms drank, smoked, snorted, sucked and fricked while having the time of their life at a random kickass Florida beach hotel packed 8 to a room.

God bless them.

I didn’t think you could, but you’re actually getting worse at your constant b.s. Go to bed.

Gaw. I remember that (emergency breakthroughs) being a thing but don’t recall ever using it.

Can confirm. I learned to drive home from church in this before I got a license.
