I upvoted because that one picture captures so much about the '80s.

How about putting home made parachutes on your sissy bars. Deploy to think your Evil Kneivel.

Those schwinn bikes had so many ways to rack yourself during the jump and crash.

I guess you missed the part where I said the companies kept the Time Saver name on them. I'll call Mr. Monty and let him know you know more about the company he owned than he does.

You took that from me posting two old commercials….

That’s some straight up weird shite….

And yeah, I know the Montgomery family owned them. Who gives a shite….

first job out of college I had to have a pocket full of quarters to check voicemails from pay phones. Remember when our company got their first mobile phone….you were hot shite if you got to take “the phone” with you on a business trip.

I remember my dad getting one of these in his farm truck in the 90s and I thought it was so cool

vividly remember around 1987-88 while in high school going outside at break to check out my friend's new hunting rifle. There was about 15 of us in the parking lot with a rifle looking through the scope and pointing it. Good times.

I wasn’t an 80s kid but I’m glad I grew up where I did because we did all of these things (2005-2009).

Had a rope swing that made you a man.

We used to have one on the yazoo river. It was a good 30-40ft embankment before you got to the water. Had a rope laying down the bank to hold onto to climb back up. You swung way out into the middle of the river and dropped a good 20-30 feet. It was awesome

Once a fat girl tried and couldn’t hold her weight. She never made the water line and landed facefurst in the mud we thought she was dead but she got up and was ok

I guess every generation looks to their youth as the "best times", but I truly believe if you were a kid in the 80's you grew up in the best of times. I'll defend that to my death.

You believe this because it's true.

I turned 14 years old in 1980. The 80s were some of the funnest times of my life!

For those interested, these guys post a bunch of VHS camcorder recordings from the 80s. It's like stepping back in time.

You are one of those dumb psychotic females that parents warn their sons about. I had a high school GF that would do that emergency breakthrough shite when my mom was on the phone with her sister.

Nope. He would laugh at me bc he knew I was gonna get in trouble for paying for one.

We were together from 15-19 and I’m very good friends with him and his wife… She’s actually in the top 5 of my closest friends.

Just because you dated a psycho and an emergency breakthrough triggers you doesn’t mean it applies to my situation.

ETA…. He had a teen line also. I would NEVER do that on his parent’s phone! Your picker was broke if your girlfriend did that shite.

It would be nice to once again get on my bike in the morning, ride around the neighborhood and dirt trails near the inter coastal all day and come home when it gets dark. Without a cellphone or any means of contact. The last part especially.

Remember it well. We used to hang out at that McDonald's in high school. Smoking cigs inside with the little foil ashtrays
