Sorry didn't read the whole thread.

Is this the right wing violence the government always talks about?

hearing that all involved parties were of the same race -- don't think they'll riot that in Memphis

They'll claim systemic racism and then go loot their flatscreens and Jordans.

not saying it's the rule, but usually it's somebody else bringing attention to it and the cops not being investigated before the national spotlight that makes the riots come.

we had a situation where a cop had pulled over black man who was acting a bit sus at night and evaded police. because of that, the officer had his gun drawn. he legitimately accidentally fired his gun taking the keys and killed him. he admitted it and self reported that, video confirmed, and he surrendered to custody. PD and mayor didn't play around, immediately suspended him and charged him. It got some attention, but because they had already begin the wheels of justice, the fervor died pretty quickly.

If you are running away, you really are not a threat. It's a stupid tactic but I really don't see how it could be could be construed as a threat to the cops. If the kid was not armed, why shoot, if he's on foot chances are he'll be picked up within 12 hrs.

This dumb shite again...

My brother lives off Church Rd in Horn Lake but works at the Federal building in Memphis. I’m going to call and suggest that he teleworks tomorrow.

I wonder if the outlet mall is in danger.

I don't mean to pop in here between all the riot and looting jokes and morbid humor, but, if you want to sit down and tell me that beating a kid to death over a dui charge and him running from you is justified.

Well.

I went to BJ's Wings next door to Graceland yesterday.

Lenny's at Elvis and Raines today.

My grandparents lived in Whitehaven until the 80's.

Big difference between the Red Roof on Elvis and the Embassy Suites.

Frank Grisanti's is in the the Embassy Suites. That's the place you said you were scared to go to.

Nobody is saying that. People are saying "lets see the body cam footage before we burn the city down"

Say what you want to about Memphis. But during he Summer of Love, the worst that happened here was a few windows got broken out on S Main.

Yeah, there were two opposing movements. The most attended were led by a police informant and were pre planned and approved by the police. The actual "activists" cant garner enough support because most of the blacks around here really dont care as long as they arent personally affected.

I live and work right by Frank Grisantis, crime is leaking here. It’s a nice place to live outside of that though. My mother lives in this area too and laughs when I say it’s dangerous after living in South Africa and Israel during peak terrorist attack times. Idk, I’m not thrilled about living here.
