No he isn’t! Lane isn’t as good of a coach as most think he is! He has been a good assistant but not great as a head coach

Isn't QB-2 a big improvement over QB-3 or Scout team?

He could've been QB2 here if he'd just beat out Nuss. I guess he didn't think he could or else he would've stayed.

He wants to find someone he can beat out, or at least that's what it looks like to me. To me that doesn't exactly speak highly of his accountability.

I’m not saying Dart is a great QB but he’s currently better than anything anyone has seen from Walker Howard so it would be insane for Kiffen to promise Howard the starting job over Dart.

I don’t think there’s any way he would start over Dart’s experience, at least not at the beginning of next season. That’s even more true if Spencer Sanders shows up there too. Howard could very well find himself running 3rd again if the new transfer rules going into effect, because Dart won’t be able to transfer again unless he graduates.

Why does this reflect poorly on WH? Nuss has a 2 year head start on Walker Howard at LSU, and they both have similar talent level. Nuss SHOULD be way ahead of WH, no matter what WH talent level is.

Me, too. tRant seems to agree (which is pretty rare) that it makes NO sense for WH to go to Ole Miss.

Do we KNOW that TCU is out? I don't think we do but I could be wrong.

So .... it's wide open. No clue WHERE Waker is going to end up?

Dart will start in the beginning of the season, but I don't think Lane gives him a real long leash.

Dart had a very average season so his grip on that starting job isn't super strong. He also finished the year with 3 INTs in the bowl game.

At this point, who cares? He doesn’t want to be here so we will make it just fine without him. We are probably better off.

Thanks, man. And ask him if he's sure TCU is out of the running? And if he's thought of any PAC-12 teams, too.

I thought Florida was in the running to...I would say TCU with his buddy Bech. Makes more sense then Ole Piss. That would be a in your face LSU if so. They are a hated rival. We shall see. But my hope for him is TCU since he did not have the heart to try and beat out NUSS.

Dude you have said this many times. That’s not even a fair comparison. Nuss been practicing with the 1’s and 2’s for the entire time while WH was preparing to run the opponents offense as scout team QB. 2 passes and 2 run plays in a bowl game with 3rd team players that barely knew the offense and you expected him to show off like Nuss.

Neither was Daniels, Nuss, or probably Burrow, as a true freshman.

I kind of hope he goes to ole miss and is 3rd string over there lol. If he does that I think it is safe to say he’s not very smart.

I don’t think so either but from what I heard is he will have a chance to compete in spring. Whether he beats out anyone I have no clue. He had zero chance to compete this year at LSU. QB1 and QB2 had been established for 2023. He would be 2 years behind Nuss on running CBK’s system. No way anyone could catchup to that.
