Probably a pussy about the decision considering Jamie whined in his days at LSU about something similar. LSU chose him and regret most of the decision.

This is purely entitlement thinking he's better than he actually is. He needs to develop and he's going to get a rude awakening even at Ole Miss. If anyone understood never to get fed early to the wolves it was him but you also know Jamie was a whiner too...so not really surprising.

They wanted guarantees BK and staff can't give. Of course they're going to buy the bullshite Kiff gives out but even he's lying and can't guarantee anything.

How could even Ole Miss do that at this point and based on what he's shown?

I'm not even suggesting he won't be a good (or even really good) college QB at some point here, but who's possibly doing THAT right now?

This is something a lot of LSU fans are not going to want to hear because they already had this dude anointed but do you really think BK wouldn't do everything he can to keep him if he thought he was the future? They got to look at him each day in practice, he ran scout team, and looked lost when he came in to play.

Howards feel like he's not being developed on scout team. You put it together. Does he have potential? Absolutely but it doesn't look BK and staff is too concerned considering they let him walk right out without a fight. Also probably a good sign with Nuss and how comfortable he is with him.

Maybe they realized he needs years of development and in NIL/transfer portal era that's an eternity at QB when the portal can fill that need every year like a free agent signing. This is a good move for all sides involved. It's a good fit for him.

All of this. I don't wish injury, but I hope we bust his arse.

He hates Atlanta and wants to never go back there again, hence he's going to Ole Miss.

Agreed. One thing though I don’t think it’s been 100% announced officially yet to be Ole Miss. I do think this is where he ends up though. Supposedly Kiffin said all the right things. And to be clear no one is ever gonna guarantee a kid the starting position! Maybe WH thinks he can over take Dart given an equal amount of snaps in spring to develop and learn the playbook? Burrow was not guaranteed. In his mind he must have thought he could beat out MB for QB1. He will probably do well at Ole Miss, but don’t see them beating LSU any time soon.

If Kiffin keeps losing to State, he won’t be around very long. If he wins big this year or next, he won’t be around long. My point is that if he transfers to OM simply to play for Kiffin, he should not count on being able to do so more than two years. Not a smart move considering. South Carolina would have been a better move if he wanted to remain in the SEC, play for a big program and under a coach/system that will likely be around for at least the next 3-4 years.

Last week when this was announced I said I would be pissed if he ended up at Florida, Auburn, Bama, UGA, or Ole Miss. Funny how it was said none of those outside Florida were an option. And now there is a lot of chatter about Walker going to Ole Miss....Lane Kiffin is going to be a royal pain in the arse with Walker Howard as his QB.

I can't put it together -- I don't know enough about how LSU runs QB's in practice.

Is "run scout team" enough to prepare a young QB for real game play? Is "scout team" a lot slower, with slower receivers, who run routes very differently, so that the whole experience has a very different "look and feel" from what a QB sees in a game?

I don't know -- some of you prolly do. I'm really curious.
