This trailer is worse than the first one. Hollywood should stop trying to make interracial romantic comedies.

Has great comedic potential if they don't slam slapstick comedy into it. Situational comedy and unintended funny lines make the best scenes for funny movies IMO.

It looks generic (except for the cast, of course), but good enough I might give it a try.

And think about that boys and girls (and others, I'm not excluding anybody intentionally) of the M/TV board, because I hate everything.

Looks good to me, I'll give it a shot. Also Lauren London gained a lot of weight, but she gets a pass after what happened to Nipsey Hussle

Well, it's just weird to make a deal out of the concept.

"You're dating a black girl?"

Literally anyone today would probably look at the person like that was the weird one. "Yeaaah... and?"

I feel that the "romantic partners from different cultures" trope doesn't work super well in modern America.

Also, Jonah Hill got SUPER old.

It's not the normal "welcoming black family meeting the racist white family", it's the "attempting-to-be-overly-empathetic white family meeting the resistant black family, with the father being a bigot." It also doubles down on the comedic absurdity by making the white family Jewish and the black family Muslim followers of Louis-lmfao-Farrakhan.

The family dinner comments had me giggling.

I'll give it a shot because it looked like a comedic take from a more honest look.

Good cast. Fun uncomfortable dialogue between extreme black people and extreme white people.

Julia Louis Dreyfuss is hilarious to me. VEEP was great. Miss that show. Not sure how funny Eddie will be in this movie. Haven't found him really funny since Beverly Hills Cop movies.

Also remember, movies aren't made for us old people. Entertainment is mainly for younger generations.

Looking forward to this. Kenya and Jonah writing it makes me think it will be at minimum pretty funny.

This is definitely a millennial or older movie. Interracial coupling is really not a big deal for people under 30.

The "you're dating a black girl?" thing is actually more common than you would think. I've gotten "Wait, you're married to a black girl?" as a reaction more times than I can count. To me, the culture clash thing in this movie is what seems forced. We'll see if liberal jews vs. black Farrakhan supporters has some comedy to it. There's also a bit of "he's so desperate, now he's dating a black chick" in there, which is dumb. It should be out soon, right? We'll watch it, hopefully it's decent.

This is how the movie will play out.

The Jewish family and the black Muslim family will bicker and argue all movie over who is more oppressed and something will happen with a white supremacist to both families which will bring them closer together.

God, I hope not. It's already a stretch with two groups that historically don't support interracial relationships. Why add a third?

Think about it. What about those two groups will bring them together in the end? It’s totally predictable.

It looks like a 3rd remake of "Guess who's coming to dinner" or more specifically "Guess Who?"

Jonah Hill looks like he's auditioning for a reboot of Sons of Anarchy.

This trailer already reveals this is just going to be the same tired jokes about culture differences and be obsessed with race...primarily on Murphy's side (like Bernie Mac's role) with Jonah's family fumbling over themselves to condescendingly appease.

Because the swirl in that direction is decidedly rare. So much so that when I see that IRL, I go, "Hmm. That's different." To myself, of course.
