13 switched

Love how they’re voting for him on good faith. This is DC, he’ll backstab you immediately once he’s in since you voted against him already once.

Winning with 217 makes it a tenuous win. "McCarthy couldn't even win the speakership with a majority of his colleagues." At least with 218 you have the majority of 435.

Will any of that even matter a week from now?

CSPAN just said 217 is magic number today.

Unless a member who was in attendance in Round 12 leaves/fails to vote, McCarthy only has to pick-off three votes from the remaining 7 dissenters.

Sure. Every criticism will begin with, "Kevin McCarthy who couldn't even win the support of a majority of his colleagues for speaker, ...".

they’re there to represent their constituents.

Seems they all quickly forget that concept upon arrival to DC

Once they get in DC their only job is to get reelected, or at least that's the way they view it.

What makes you think that the people who can’t stomach two and a half days of debate with their own party have what it takes to stand up to Democrats?

Why are you watching Fox? They haven't had an accurate vote count in years

Except for when they called Arizona way too early. Somehow they knew.

Yea, that's a good point. I've been arguing with my boss for years on some things that I'm passionate about. These people can't stomach the thought of their weekend being interrupted.

Gaetz and Rosen look like they aren't budging. Several have walked away from Gaetz shaking their heads.

I’ll be stunned if Crane flips.

Boebert would surprise me too, but less so than Crane.
