You have to give credit where credit is due. Daniels beat OM and more specifically Bama. I love the attributes both QBs provide. Purdue showed us a 2 QB system can work against mediocre P5 talent.

Daniels actually played some of his best games against the toughest teams on the schedule. His worst games were against 5-7 and 6-6 teams. Do you really think he looked bad throwing for over 200 yards in one half against Georgia? You seem to be blaming him for the defensive collapse in the last two games before the bowl.

Over 200 yards in the first half against a Georgia team at that time was only giving up 250 a game CMON Man!

This is a real stretch in an effort to find something negative about a 56 point win….over a team that made the Big Ten championship game. BOTH teams had massive opt outs and defections. Our biggest advantage was we didn’t have an interim coach. But Perdue had….Drew Brees!

I thought he looked alright injured against freaking UGA. Arkansas ok flu. 5&7 was an all encompassing cluster. Looked good against Bama.

Both guys looked good and executed very well. We can take something from that.

We have 2 very good QB's with totally different talents.

This is a weird take. They are an above average Big 10 team we dominated. Just be happy.

I posted this jsut to show that you numbskulls who love Daniels don't actually read the post. While i didn't name the 2 teams - alabama and Ole Miss, i gave daniels credit for playing very well in those games. How many smart-arse replies did i get defending Daniels by pointing out how well he played in those 2 games? then came all the obligatory Nuss bashing posts. I clearly stated that while Nuss looked good it didn't mean anything either.

the bait was that i said that Nuss did one thing better than Daniels, which you can't argue against.

This wasn't a daniels bashing post, nor was it let's replace him with Nuss post. Fact is, I wanted to see if Daniels could have another good game against a quality defense? Ya'll are convinced he can but I am not. and i would've liked to see how Nuss responded against a good defense. Now we'll have to wait until next season to find out.

My reading comprehension skills are just fine. You made an assertion that Daniels played poorly in his last three games against real competition. That assertion is patently incorrect. He played well against Georgia and his performance against A&M was not that much different from the Bama game. Had the defense not been worn down by lack of depth, they would have won that game.

Kinda sucks though that LSU has to be up by 4 TDs for them to open up the playbook. Gotta start out like that against the top teams.

16-24, 208 yards in two quarters against UGA. Statistically a pretty good start before going out with injury.

You don’t like completely dominating an opponent?

It was 1. In the end zone. On a terrible throw. That’s the thing Nuss does and until he shows he can be smarter with the ball he will be a liability.

yeah, all those points we scored against Georgia in the first half was great. I don't know which games you were watching. JD struggled early in the season as the team struggled to mature. he crapped the bed against Tennessee and then had 2 great games in a row and we were all tickled pink. then he lost what he had. i don't know why you would even argue. I want to know if he can get it back, or was it just a fluke.

and i am still not satisfied with his accuracy. most of the balls he completes are not solidly accurate passes. Yes, i have seen him throw some really good balls as well, but he is not consistent enough. we'll find out next year whether he's the superhero you are seeing on the field, or just an average qb with great running skills.
