Are on cloud shoes worth it or just a status shoe?

I keep seeing all the young millennial folk wearing these shoes these days. Are they worth the hype?

shitton of threads on these and the general consensus seems to be that they're comfortable as frick but wear out quickly and don't last long

I've got some Brooks that are 2 years old and still fully functioning. I'm not sure I can abandon that for these. Maybe the clouds are good, but my experience is that Brooks is king

I go to Disney every year and end up walking 10 miles a day.

Every night back in the room my feet would kill me.

This past trip is the first trip where I wore On Clouds and this is the first trip where my feet did not hurt after walking the normal 10 miles.

Sold me on them.

I have 2 pairs. Put quite a few miles on one them and they're still in great shape and clean easily too. Definitely recommend.

Wouldn't use them for running and they won't last a year - but they're the most comfortable shoe for walking and standing

I’ve got a few pair, they are very comfortable and lite, however, they don’t last long if you wear them every day. I have one pair that I wear to cut the grass and chores around the house, another pair for the camp and a pair I wear casually

I don’t buy them because they are pretty. Most comfortable shoes I’ve owned. Both pairs have last around a year which is normal for me.

I’ve had mine for a year and they show no signs of breaking down. Incredibly comfortable, and breathable as well.

Why? How?

That’s strong verbiage for something that seems to be a pretty decent buy. I’m curious as to how you come to your conclusion

They sucked for me. Full disclosure though I’m pigeon toed and wear shoes out quickly. My OCs didn’t last six months

Also never had corns before or since

Working on a year and a half on mine. Wear them every day for the most part. Still in good condition. Just cleaned them the other night and I feel like they have quite a bit of miles on them.

I don’t do any of this in them though. Chores and every day wear is how I put the miles on mine. Almost went and got another pair a couple weeks back, but the ones I have now are still in very good shape. Even after this long.
