Oh my. I hope this type of incident doesn’t worsen the food desert phenomenon in the north.

A total of 134 homicides for the year, after someone was shot and killed today off of North Foster. Another person sounds like they’re not going to make it after they were shot off of N. 36th St.

Headed for 140 homicides for 2022 before the years end.

As her uncle, it is your responsibility to make sure she doesn't end up being a Karen. The onus is you or we will meet at Sonic.

I noticed yesterday that we were making a run at #2 all time this year. 170 is out of reach for the time being

think the Plank road location is the only one in Baton Rouge. There used to be one on Siegen but it closed years ago.

Correct. And the next closest one is in New Orleans.

Honest question: Does the AA population in Baton Rouge spend significantly more on doughnuts than the white population? KK spent a lot of money remodeling that Plank Road location a few years ago, and while it is nice, I just have to think they should’ve taken that opportunity to relocate to a higher trafficked (and much safer) area of the city. Surely they’d make a lot more being near the mall or some place like Target towards Denham Springs.

I used to go by there in the 90’s to pick up donuts for meetings at the Chem plants on the river. It was rough then, can’t imagine going there now.

There are so many beings that should taken out of existence.

That doesn’t include a dad taking his daughter to eat donuts.

Are the police absolutely sure it wasn’t a white dodge charger as those seem to be the battle wagon of choice in BR.

What an absolute shithole BR has become. I mean an attempted murder at a freaking Kristy Kreme donut shop in broad daylight. The criminals have no fear…none at all in BR.

For people who comment about "why go out there", that Krispy Kreme has been there forever, lots of people used to go get donuts there.

Wow... in trying to look up how long it's been there, I see they have torn the old building down and put up a new one. Old one was from the 50's or so, I believe. If it's not the original building (with the nostalgia factor kicking in), I wouldn't bother going.

But also for point of reference, it's about a mile down Plank from Tony's Seafood. A ton of people still go there.
