A budget of $50/person Christmas party. I independence bowl tickets for every employee, 300 tickets. Too bad it’s gonna be in the 20’s all day in Shreveport

I'm gifting my work partner a large decorative serving container.
He's an Aggie, so he needs to get at least one bowl this holiday season.

We get a small gift card - that is then reported as income.
That said, I’ll take it!!

I work for myself. My company bought me a new hoop net. Hope to set it out soon. Maybe today.

All employees, around 180, received a crisp 100$ bill.
I also received 500$ from the managing partner with a nice note.
Not really Christmas, but the remaining 75% of my annual bonus, was also in another envelope.

all 177 employees got new north face jackets, and a $50 Amazon gift card. ( no bonuses)/ no company wide Christmas party.
I personally got a new company car coming second week of January. I put some value to that.
Additionally I’m taking my team of 7 and their significant other out for a nice dinner & drinks tonight.
IMO I also thinks it’s important to reward your people throughout the year when big wins happen and people go above and beyond what is needed, but not for just doing your job .
Our company isn’t the biggest but I do feel from top down our folks are treated the right way.

Respectfully, those employees are all talking amongst themselves and asking, "How much did they spend on these stupid jackets that could have been distributed as more of a gift card or a bonus?"

Not sure.
They set out a suggestion box and handed everyone a notecard, asked us to write an idea for a gift.
So i put, if it’s not a bonus or free days off, don’t waste money on some shitey gift that is gonna end up in the trash

We get $1k, but my boss also secretly contacted a nice restaurant I dined at in Mexico last week for my bachelorette party and paid for all of our alcohol. It was 6 of us who are heavy drinkers and we ordered several bottles of nice wine, so that was much appreciated once we found out.
I went one year and it was actually kinda fun.

We had a real nice dinner event with spouses. Then people got in their office mail a card with a Publix gift card and an equally distributed bonus check.
Then I got a bonus for being a department head.
