our kids make more money than we do. They decided they don't like doing gifts. So we pick a destination and all pay for the airbnb, restaurants, travel to the destination, and excursions/experiences while there.

I still have to buy for nieces and nephews. I went to find needoh today. I still don't know what it is but i bought it

Christmas is a hell of a lot easier for us now too. We don't do gifts for neices and nephews anymore. There are too many of them.

Our kids are older now too. We get them one expensive gift and maybe a little money.

i have a bunch also but mine are the oldest on my side so everyone bought for mine when they were little so I am buying for theirs. But all my damn cousins have kids now too and my mom keeps inviting them for Christmas and I am not buying for some kids and not all the kids so my list is huge
Thankfully they make amazon gift lists now.

My niece sent my mom a thing that was her wish list for her and it was on iphone notes. Bless her heart but my mom didnt realize they were direct links to what she actually wanted. She was just staring at links for a week trying to decipher what the hell they were instead of just clicking.

We did American girl for the oldest for several years. I think of them as an investment.

Getting a kid a Christmas gift and viewing it as an investment has to be the lamest thing ever. What are you going to do if they want to play with the dolls? Buy them real toys and throw some money into a college fund instead.

13 year old girl - light grey Jordan 1s, she asked for nirvana shirt and some sweaters (she does know the songs and albums), a watch, PC components, jewelry, crocs, lululemon stuff, a small chaise chair thing for her bedroom. Now that I write it down it seems like a lot… might kick some of that into January for her bday.

Tickets to Hot Wheel monster jam thing. He's obsessed with Hot Wheels.

His dad is making him a Lego table.

Then just a few other things.

He's almost 5.
