Our daughter is almost 3 and we got way too much shite, so Santa is wrapping some stuff for effect.

I think I'll end up wrapping everything for my two. There's no logic behind it besides prolonging the event- which is fine by me.

Not wrapping "Santa's" gifts makes them stand out as something special. Magical. Just my childhood memory.

We do not wrap Santa gifts for our kids.

As a kid, Santa was a little inconsistent- sometimes he wrapped, sometimes he didn’t - he also had very similar handwriting to my parents

I dont recall from my childhood but for our kids Santa did not wrap. It distinguished the gifts and gave the kids something to "ooh and ahh" over at 5AM.

Growing up, my parents would wrap presents and put them under the tree in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
Santa would drop unwrapped presents the night before Christmas to wake up to.
So I would wake up to a dirt bike, game system, something big just sitting there, and then open the smaller things my parents got me.

This is basically what we did. Wrapped gifts under the tree as the season went on from my family. Santa's gifts were unwrapped and there in the morning.

As a kid Santa had the special paper and the big Santa gifts weren't wrapped. When I met my wife she insisted Santa gifts weren't wrapped so that's what the kids grew up with.

For the most part, but then the big stuff that had to be put together by Santa during the night would not be wrapped. Those things might have a bow stuck to them.

It was weird how Santa didn't wrap presents at my house but wrapped them at my Grandmother's. I figured it out eventually.

Wrapped. I've learned now that my parents are the type of people that like to drag out good moments as long as possible since they're so enjoyable. (I'm the same way)

My parents never really got us gifts "from them". Everything was from Santa, and everything was wrapped. Even multiple pieces that go together Unwrapping on Christmas morning could be a 2 hour ordeal.

As an adult, we still do the thing where someone "plays Santa" at the Christmas tree and hands out one gift at a time that we watch the person unwrap. It absolutely kills Jones, whose family sets everyone up with their piles and unwraps at the same time.

Santa doesn’t have time to wrap presents. Your wife is wrong.

Her parents wrapped and hid gifts, and Santa wrapped gifts. Both arrived the night before Christmas, so nothing under the tree leading up to Christmas.

WTF is this shite??? So the only difference between gifts from her parents and the gifts from Santa were the name on the labels? And both sets of gifts magically arrive at the same time? Very odd setup IMO.

Santa wrapped presents at our house when we were kids. Parents' presents were placed under the tree prior to Christmas, along with presents from siblings. Presents from family members were opened up one per night for four nights leading up to Christmas.

I reckon that Mrs. Claus was rather adamant about our Christmas presents being wrapped, and Mr. Claus had no problem with it since she was the one doing all the wrapping. It certainly made for some beautiful photos and home movies of Christmas morning from my childhood. I just found some old Super-8 home movies of Christmases from 1968 through 1980. Brought back a lot of memories.

Same here. Wife makes a production out of it and she wraps all the presents to the kids & grandkids.
