Growing up Santa didn’t wrap my presents.
As a parent my wife started the 3 gifts from Santa based on the 3 wisemen with gifts. She also hoarded up and hid “Santa”paper. Every year it has been the same paper. No other presents have ever used that paper. It was ironic that 2 years ago when he started doubting things was also the year she finished using up her paper.

All presents were wrapped. Mom and dad gifts had a handwritten tag that said “Love, M&D!” Santa gifts had a special wrapping paper and stamp that said “Santa”. Mom was always good about hiding the wrapping paper and Santa paraphernalia but then one Christmas I found the stamp.
My life was a lie.

Santa did not wrap. My yankee wife disagrees and says Santa wraps presents. My response was have fun wrapping all that shite.

Wrapped. I've learned now that my parents are the type of people that like to drag out good moments as long as possible since they're so enjoyable. (I'm the same way) My parents never really got us gifts "from them". Everything was from Santa, and everything was wrapped. Even multiple pieces that go together Unwrapping on Christmas morning could be a 2 hour ordeal. As an adult, we still do the thing where someone "plays Santa" at the Christmas tree and hands out one gift at a time that we watch the person unwrap. It absolutely kills Jones, whose family sets everyone up with their piles and unwraps at the same time.
We lived the same childhood.

Nothing like getting a gift from Santa that’s 300 pcs and decals and takes a couple hours to put together before you can play with it

I was the fourth kid, my parents weren’t even pretending to attempt the Santa game by the time I was around.

No. And I never questioned it. I was probably just happy I didn't have to unwrap it to see what it was.

After putting the "santa gifts" together, youll want to go to bed. Just wrap presents from us.

Outside of really big/awkward items (bicycle or new backboard), I never saw an unwrapped gift under a tree until I was at least 25. That was the first time I also heard the idea of Santa not wrapping or only Santa wrapping gifts.

with mine we did wrapped presents from us under tree, and then wrapped presents from Santa that morning, I was more fun to see them react to each present individually than all at once

Santa wrapped some of ours but not all. A few main things would be set up and there would be some smaller things wrapped.
We always opened family gifts on Christmas Eve and got gifts from Santa in the morning. So there was no confusion about what was what.
Doing the same with my kid. Leave a few bigger things unwrapped and wrapping other stuff. Still opening family gifts on the eve and Santa’s gifts are under the tree Christmas morning.

Yes, and strangely, the tags were always written just like my Mom's handwriting. I don't know how Santa could mimic it so well. Lord knows, I tried to mimic it on grade F papers.

No. The wrapped presents was from parents.

Except for large items like a bike or a play kitchen, Santa wrapped my gifts. My kids get the same mostly because I can't imagine how early they would be getting us up if they were all out in plain view. Parent/family gifts are wrapped and under the tree throughout the season.
Santa always uses Santa wrapping paper and presents are wrapped weeks before Christmas and stored in the previously full bins that held our holiday decorations. No way am I spending hours Christmas Eve wrapping. Takes us 10 minutes to put everything out.
The one thing I wished I had done was buy two sets of stockings. It would be nice to pre stuff them so I could simply swap the empty for the full.
