Then rules Maircopa county doesn’t have to hand over evidence.
So basically if there is fraud, which you are admitting can actually happen, you can’t do anything about it.

To recap:
1. No one can hold certification of election results until an investigation is held, even the people charged with certifying election results.
2. No one can challenge election results to get an investigation started, including the people who were harmed by what is very likely fraud.
3. No one can sue to hold election results until investigations are performed.
No, the recap is if you are going to challenge election results, then bring some fricking evidence with you.
Certification of elections cannot be delayed just because you don't like the results. Investigations will not be started just because an election was close. And you really should not sue in Federal Court - before or after an election - without evidentiary support for your claims.

So they filed lawsuit prior to the election and immediately after? Exactly what the Dems said was the remedy after 2020….and a liberal judge still tossed both cases? What a system.
Exactly what happened in Pennsylvania in 2020.
Filed suit prior to the election: tossed because no damage could be shown.
Filed suit after the election: tossed because the election was over. Moot point.
The game is fricking rigged.

Seems like presenting some proof would have really helped their case here.

“It is to make clear that the Court,” Judge Tuchi wrote. “Will not condone litigants ignoring the steps that Arizona has already taken toward [elections] and furthering false narratives that baselessly undermine public trust at a time of increasing disinformation about, and distrust in, the democratic process. It is to send a message to those who might file similarly baseless suits in the future.”
The only Democrat talking point he didn't use was "The Big Lie."

hence the word baseless.
it was all unsupported speculation.

Yep.
quote:
But Tuchi said the big problem with the arguments of why machine counts are unreliable is they are based on a lot of "what if" speculations.
"A long chain of hypothetical contingencies must take place for any harm to occur," he wrote. That includes:
-The specific voting equipment used in Arizona must have security failures that allow a malicious actor to manipulate vote totals;
-Such an actor must actually manipulate an election;
-Arizona's specific procedural safeguards must fail to detect the manipulation; and
-The manipulation must change the outcome of the election.
"Plaintiffs fail to plausibly show that Arizona's voting equipment even has such security failures," the judge said. "And even if the allegations in plaintiff's complaint were plausible, their alleged injury is not certainly impending."

I'm not even sure how you can investigate and overturn fraud in an election if it exists. From 2020 and 2022 so far, it sounds like all the courts want to do is say "no standing" and "baseless". Not sure how you would actually prove fraud happened without the courts allowing a delay for an investigation.

When I was still living in New Orleans I waited in election lines a few times. Yes, for two plus hours. Isn't that what you're supposed to do if you're voting on election day and you don't want early or mail in voting? I live in a small town now so long lines mean fifteen minutes wait. Voting in a big city means long waiting sometimes.

I pray one day the people wake up and remind these tyrants who their bosses are.

Exactly. Long waiting lines on election day have been occurring for decades and is a big reason why people early vote.

Yeah I'm not really speaking on the legal proceedings aspect. More along the lines of process. Clearly if the laws state that the current process is good enough, well that would need an update. The murky nature of the process would not fly elsewhere.

And when you only campaign to the small population of people who are already gonna vote for you (ignoring that a third of the state is independents) and tell other republican populations in the state they can go to hell…..
You just might not get enough votes

Speculation and hypothetical possibilities will never be enough for a court to step in and prevent certification. Some actual indication of wrongdoing, etc is going to be needed for that delay.

When machines aren’t working and you’re waiting in line a few hours… how many get discouraged and leave? Maricopa said some 17k votes were potentially affected. We have no way of knowing because they either left in frustration or were sent to another polling place and told they had already voted.
Also Mickey, like I said previously, they used the cert to assert their claim to the judge.
The judge threw it out less than 24 hours later

So actions of frickery decrease public faith and confidence in elections, therefore questions about the validity of said fricked elections cannot be questioned because it might lead to questions about election frickery?
Ladies and gentlemen I present to you the circular reasoning which is currently “protecting our democracy.”
frick. It. All.
We just wanted to be left alone.

If anyone didn't want to wait, they could have dropped off their ballot in the secure drop box on site which they have used for years.

Wasn't this case thrown out months ago and this was just the court costs being assessed?
