Maybe even a dangerous threat to our democracy, right?

hey went over exactly how the ballots that didn’t go through the tabulators on election day were processed.

I watched him try to explain it, and he can explain all he wants, but they still won't hand over subpoenaed information on the ballots. They told the assistant AG and a sitting senator to pound sand.

They had actual poll workers that witnesses everything as well.

I guess you just dismiss them though.

When I was still living in New Orleans I waited in election lines a few times. Yes, for two plus hours. Isn't that what you're supposed to do if you're voting on election day and you don't want early or mail in voting? I live in a small town now so long lines mean fifteen minutes wait. Voting in a big city means long waiting sometimes.

There's long lines, then there's 5-6 hour lines manufactured by "faulty machinery" in Republican majority districts. Don't be a simp.

By design.

As noted elsewhere, if the frickery that occurred there occurred in Philly, there'd be a traffic jam of reporters and race hucksters trying to get there to scream "disenfranchisement" and demanding judicial relief.

You're giving props to a board that managed to outdo the 2020 elections in mismanagement and clusterfrickery?

The Arizona voting process is actually pretty well documented and publicly available on their government website. It's pretty solid and the more research you do into the process the more you'll see why this sky screaming about voter fraud is all a political show....a very very dangerous one.

I can understand that, there was a good bit of misdirected angst over here as well. Really sucked BC it took away opportunities to address legit concerns.

Oh that guy?

That dude came off nuts.

They actually went over all the training the poll workers get. And one of the things they are trained on is checking out voters to go to another location.

And you don’t have to wait in line to drop off a mailed ballot (in the green envelope). You can bypass the line and walk in and drop off in the box.

Again….they even asked those folks what polling place and after the public comments they again addressed and answered the concerns brought up by poll workers.

Again….those people complaining chose to not stay for that portion of the meeting

What about the ones that couldn't wait in a 3 hour line?

Since when did Republicans give a shite about lines to vote? Happy to see y'all joining the Democrats in making voting easier, after all these years.

Where did this happen?

Again, I live here. Voted here. I know of long lines up in Anthem, but we're talking about 2-3 hours, and then for only a part of the day. Not that that's a great thing, but it's not multiple voting centers with 5-6 hour waits.

Live here as well. They showed some long lines on the news but even said most places didnt have a long wait. FOX 10 was reporting from a location in Scottsdale with a line (this was after 5 pm) and even told people there were other polling places in the area with little to no wait.

Now consider this

Okay, I read the post I was responding to wrong. I thought you were saying that the county acknowledged that potentially 17K voters had been disenfranchised. What you were saying is about 17K voters had to deal with the tabulator issue.

quote:

you’re standing in line and you hear people leaving disgruntled that they couldn’t cast their vote due to machine error.

But this didn't happen. As far as I know, there was no voting center where you couldn't cast your vote.

The voting centers had at least two tabulators, so if one was BO then that meant you had to wait to scan on the tabulator that worked.

Or, you had the option of dropping your ballot in Box 3, and having it counted at the central election office.

I'm in Gilbert. Voted mid-day and had zero wait throughout the process. Helped my son pick a voting center to use late afternoon and found online all the centers near his office (north Scottsdale) had 20 min or less waits. This was about 5:30. My daughters voted without waits in the east valley, too.

Nice to (sorta) meet you.

It's true that nearly everyone here is from somewhere else. I haven't run across many Louisianians, though.

Flavors of Louisiana (Tempe and Avondale locations) is also good. Owners originally from Baton Rouge and part of same family that owned Don’s Seafood

Flavors of Louisiana

I remember when ASU played LSU at Sun Devil after Katrina that there was a lot of "LSU" in the stadium, but I assumed that was how LSU travels - but maybe they were transplants.
