How much is a 6’ sugar kettle worth?

I have a super old (1800’s probably) sugar kettle that the husband is threatening to use as a fire pit.
Is there any way to find a value of an old sugar kettle?

Sounds like a good fire pit. Why are you thwarting him?

It is worth a good bit. Tell him to go buy a firepit and not be a cheap arse.

The uppity types seem to prefer using them for some sort of fountain/water feature.

Oh no, he’s threatening to build a fire in the thing they used to build fires under?

It’s currently a fountain.

Water and oxidation are gonna do more damage to it than fire

Come to think of it, it's probably better for the actual preservation of the thing than the fountain/water feature use that so many seem to prefer.

Thing is super thick. I’m gonna see if my kid will go take a pic of it.

Yeah but he wants to drill holes in it if it turns it into a fire pit.
