Samsung refrigerator repair ABITA Springs area

Temperature of refrigerator is drastically fluctuating.
I’m hoping it’s just a part that can be replaced.
Any recommendations for a repair service or guy?

I recommend hauling it to the road and going to by a fridge that’s a worth a damn.
But if you don’t want to go that route and you’re able to find someone then save his number. You’ll need him again.

Napoleon is your contact who will likely comment
Samsung - based on their track history, arguably one of the worst refrigerators around. Getting replacement parts.... good luck as they come from overseas on a boat. I waited 9 months for a replacement panel and ice maker. Still had issues and Best Buy gave me a refund since it was under warranty.

Haaa
Thank you Chad
I’m in Metairie, my sister is on the Northshore
She’s had the fridge for 15 years and all had been fine.
Usually the posters on this board are very helpful
Lots of Samsung hate apparently

The newer Samsungs are crap and it’s mostly the ice makers. I bought mine without knowing this 5 years ago. If it wasn’t for the refrigerator shortages and price hikes last couple of years I would’ve hauled mine to the street by now

I was hoping it was a replace a part type of thing.
But I’ve been making several calls to “repair” guys with no luck.
If parts are that hard to come by
Maybe a new fridge is the answer

I think Napoleon lives in Kenner. I know he works all over the East Bank. Don't know if he'll go all the way to Abita, but if you get his attention here or the OT, he usually can offer good advice. I'm almost certain he's addressed the Samsung problems previously.
Good luck. Oh, yeah...pics of sis?

This is how I fixed my Samsung fridge. Highly recommend you go this route.

I have one and it’s the largest piece of shite I own.
When mine did this I pulled the cover off of the back (inside) the refrigerator. Defrost that with a hairdryer. That fixed mine.
Both ice makers on this hunk of shite dont work and defrosting the entire unit still didn’t help.
But it did help control the temperatures again.
Someone probably didn’t close the doors all the way one day and you have some ice build up around the twin fans or thermostat.

YouTube can fix it. For real, look in YouTube and find what part needs to be replaced.

I bought a Samsung 5-6 years ago and within a year it quit doing cubed ice and only makes crushed. After watching my mom go through something shite getting fixed and Samsungs having to be replaced under warranty, I consider us lucky that the only issue we had was it only does crushed ice

I have a Maytag over under for sale. It’s missing some drawers. I had to go pick it up from a friend who didn’t want to deal with it. Ice and water maker works. Just needs the veggie drawers. I’m in Covington. You gotta pick up .
I just did this Sunday after the lsu game and rented a uhaul to do it. It’s worth it if you don’t want to spend a fortune on a new one

Buy a Maytag instead. Everyone I know with an LG or Samsung has had bad ice makers and several little things go wrong.
