He didn’t miss. I’m not saying it was targeting, but it was certainly a defensive player hitting a sliding QB, and thats always a flag, even if he didn’t fully hit him.

I was about a 6 pack in at that point, but when he “dove over” Daniels didn’t he also extend his arms to get a shot in the head with his forearms, or am I misremembering?

If he did, that would show intent, adding in the launch, and should have been a 15 yard penalty. Don’t know the targeting rule that well to know if he should have been ejected.

I don't agree at all with #1, he still did the act of launching at a player who gave himself up.

If anything they need to look at this rule and change it again. Call it Targeting 1 and 2, like how basketball has flagrant 1 and 2. Targeting 1, you get penalized but not ejected. Targeting 2, immediately ejected and penalized.

2. The out of bounds touching non fumble recover. What kinda BS is that… the lsu player had 2 hands on the ball. The out of bounds player then knocked it from his hand.

How does a player that lost possession of the ball and goes out of bounds become the determining factor by merely touching the ball?
Take away the 3 they got on that drive and there is no OT

Go look it up. It's what they based the call on and the only reason they reviewed it.

It's a dumb rule, but they got it right.

So you have no idea what the rule actually says but you are able to definitively say they got it right?

You have no idea if they got it right honestly and you are gullible AF obviously.

The missed holding call on #54 against Perkins on the long TD pass was the worst call of the game. Blatant, and it affected the outcome quite a bit.

Refs were terrible, thankfully our team showed serious heart and didn’t let it rattle them

and the ball was barely tipped
I don't even think it was tipped. The ball's trajectory or spin didn't change one bit. Therefore, although I think the ball missed our guy's hand by a millimeter, there wasn't a tip - at least not evidence of a tip.

And let's all please stop with this childish bashing of the refs.

The fumble / out of bounds play was bizarre, but apparently that's the rule. Our guy didn't have possession (and no, two hands on the ball doesn't equal possession - ask any receiver that has a pass go through his hands). The TV official guy called that one immediately.

And holding? Hell, the refs could call holding on every single play - on either team.

It just seems stupid that the out of bounds player doesn't need to possess the ball-- he just had to touch the ball while Books had both hands on it.

That rule doesn't make sense.

Bama was spotted 9 points last night on the made up rule and the hold on Perkins on the long TD.

State the rule that says a player has to be in possession of the ball for X seconds to have possession of a fumble!

Taylor blocked in the back on Daniels OT run.

That's never ever called block in the back.

He was continuously engaged with the defender and he turned around.

Perkins was actually being held by his face mask and jersey. It was bad. They held all night long

ok - now go back and watch the game from a Bama fan's perspective and tell me how many bad calls went against the Tide.

This constant bashing of refs is infantile. Every play, there are 22 guys flying around the field. Bad / missed calls happen -- to BOTH TEAMS.

Thankfully, we now have replay to correct some of the calls, but missed calls happen -- to every team, in every game, in every sport.

Stop the whining. It's childish.

Clearly the finger of the glove moved back. Grazing is still contact that may not necessarily offset trajectory.

Based on his immediate reaction, it hit his finger, even if by a mm. Also, on the replay from behind Young, you see his finger bent back if you don’t zoom in. If you zoom in, it’s too blurry to make out the finger movement

The non targeting call where the players blatantly launches at Daniels after he gave him self up

Don’t be such a weenie.
If we’d gotten called for that non contact we would be ballistic.

The hold on Perkins was unbelievable on the long TD pass…it was as blatant as can be and directly stopped a sack.
The block in the back was not a foul because the defender turned after being engaged…that is not called.
