The airline game was the one they said had a bunch of points too . I was listening to the haughton coach on the radio . They mentioned the airline game too so that got me flipped around in my head.

Does 5a up here just struggle with defense now or are the offenses much better

Offenses mainly Airline and Benton are just really good, Benton's defense won them the game last night because their starting QB took a helmet to the hip and can't throw apparently or else they probably would've scored more than 22, they've gotta hope he isn't done or else that hurts them alot, Airlines d held Parkway to 20 with two turnovers and multiple 4th down stops. Haughton also has a pretty good offense. So I'd lean towards the offenses finally catching up or surpassing the rest of the state.

No it’s because of the records of there non district opponents.
Stm has Comeaux who is winless and a few other teams that will most likely finish at best 5-5 maybe 6-4. As for tch they opponents worst record will be 5-5 will all others having 7-9 wins in there out of district schedule

very clear message was sent.

also in most press boxes eco's and pa announcer are in a separate room from coaches and can't always hear coaches, but there is a way to deal with them when it's heard.

There aren't separate press/coach's boxes at any other level of football. They're simply bigger, and the coaches are all adults and know how to behave.

In somewhat kind of related news, district 7-3A principals voted 3-2 to force Bogalusa to play their last home regular season game against Albany at a neutral site after the shooting outside their stadium earlier this month…

This is a slippery slope IMO… if this is the standard, there won’t be any games in New Orleans soon

It was a much more slippery slope to not do anything. Schools need to have proper security in place and control their venues.

Safety is the first concern. I know many officials that are starting to block venues and schools.

The recent rulings from LHSAA should be a wake-up call. This could likely go into playoffs

Avoyelles beats Rosepine for the district tile. First out right title for the Mustangs in football. Coach Boone is beast, with his three headed monster of backs he has. Bring Many on he’ll beat them into submission this time.

Except that in Bogalusa it didn’t happen in the venue

Today I learned district principals can tell a district school where to play it's games. I had no idea.

It has happened plenty times in hoops.

District games are not voluntarily scheduled there for teams must play home and home.

But the incident at Bogalusa and very likely the handling of the incident by the city, school and LEO made this a real possibility....and the plan the school had for future events was possibly not satisfactory.

FWIW then there are officials, if officials decline to go to a venue over safety concerns that's a whole other problem.

If I recall they figured what and who did it kind of quickly… they can’t control what goes on outside the gates of the event

It was literally right outside of the stadium and was close enough that the game couldn’t be finished, but yeah keep acting like it was on the other side of town or something. And last I saw on channel 8 they have released security video pictures of the suspects but no arrests have been made.
