I understand it goes by power ranking and all that, but it's odd that Teurlings lost to St Thomas More last Friday and is still ranked higher. Both are 7-1 with STM's only loss was to Catholic BR.

Karr is probably the real #1 in D1 but I don't get how Warren Easton is ahead of Catholic when they lost straight up and have 2 losses.

Vinton forfeited the game because the do not have enough players after some injuries in their game last week

I think it’s because Teurlings hasn’t played the bottom 2 teams in district yet and STM has. If STM should beat both Westgate and LCA I’m assuming they would jump Teurlings

Catholic High's lone loss is by 3 to a team in the national top 25. They also beat the #10 team in Alabama class 6A, who is 7-1. They've also beaten St. Thomas More and University High along with Warren Easton on the road.

I think that formula needs retooling because no way does Warren Easton's schedule trump that one.

Why can't you stick to one rating system instead of giving different shite each week?

Polls are for early in the season… power ratings are for now because the playoffs are around the corner

When the playoffs start it’s all about the seeding

Catholic is 5A. They can’t add any extra points for playing up. Warren Easton is 4A. All of their out of district games were against 5A teams. That’s 2 more points per game right off the bat.

Did they not think of that when they shoved some 4A teams into Div 1?
