I drove by here the other day trying to cut around I-10/110 traffic. Nice part of town. Did anyone on here go there?

Must be a welcomed change from having to ride a moose around up North.

I forgot Sacred Heart existed. It's pretty nice looking but I was surprised at it being so out of place.

Went to high school with people who went there. I remember being told they would occasionally find shell casings outside during recess. That was in the 90s.

I went to SH as did my kids and now their kids. It is a great school although many fewer students than when I attended. The area near the school has change considerably. i lived just southeast of the school on a large piece of land. Lot's of trees and bushes growing right up to the edge of the school. Got my first handy behind an old oak that still stands today. We sure had some great teachers back then. I now live in St. James Place. Im not getting any handies here. I wish I was back at good ole SH.

Didnt go to the school but it was my grandparent's parish so we went to church there often. The Jesus painting above the altar scared me when I was a little.

GOAT Scary Jesus mural. Kinda looks like Dave Chappele's Prince a little to me nowadays.

It is a great school. And to whoever said it is considered "the ghetto Catholic school" well that just isn't the case. Keep in mind when they built the school that area was white middle class all around.

The church is my family's church, and I just find that Jesus mural to be creepy as hell every time I have to go for a funeral/wedding.

EDIT - Ah, I was beat to it. Sorry for the repeat. Bears repeating though because it's so weird.
