Like dis?

They offered them for like a grand. Then realized how much they were losing at that price and switched to 3k. Realized how much they were losing at that price and switched to 6k. Still sold a ton and canceled them the next year.

I had my MS lifetime from the late 90s, now have my LA lifetime. Pretty damn nice only having to worry about ducks stamps at this point between the two states. I fish in both la and miss, hunt mostly in ms but occasionally la too.

You have to have been born in Mississippi and no longer living there for the non-resident Mississippi native license

It would be interesting for someone to challenge that in court as being discriminating.

There is a NR deer hunter package license... includes: NR All Game Hunting, NR Archery/Primitive Weapon/Crossbow, NR Deer Permit, HIP, 1 Year Magazine Subscription.
$380

I think this package saves you $45 compared to if you bought everything separately. Basically making the deer permit $5.

Also, the second Primitive weapon season is in a few weeks so you can use any legal firearm on private lands. Further extending your season if you don't own a " traditional" primitive weapon.

I'll be buying this package in the next week or two.

hopes this saves some people a few bucks.

Same here man. Went a couple years without buying mine. Then had a son and Tryin to do the right thing while taking him hunting……. I May revert back to my old ways. Paying enough in property tax.

You can buy the native son license and it will pay for itself in 5 years.

This. If you were born there you can get a lifetime license.

I think that is a misprint, I saw it too but when you put that package in your cart to checkout, the price reverts to a $50 deer permit

We use to gig the Mississippi coast but the fishing license has gotten so obscene for a once a year trip we stopped doing it. $100+ after fees per person. We have family that lives in coastal Mississippi and they walk to the beach... I don't understand the pettiness between states.

Ya, in the section where you log in to your account, it's listed at $425. Basically the only "deal" you get is a free $9 digital magazine subscription.

Huh?

I did have to pay $133/person to fish LA waters that pretty wraps just about all the way around MS.

I’ve looked into it. I can’t because the address on my birth certificate is a La address. I was born in Centreville Ms by accident. Parents were there visiting family and my head popped out lol

Non residents are responsible for around 70% of the license generated conservation revenue in Mississippi. They need to crank up resident fees so they are paying their fair share.

We pay state income taxes, property taxes, and vehicle registration etc. I pay a good bit more than a $380 hunting license fee. We own property that we hunt on and live on.
They have no reason to lower the license fees for NR. It could be $1k a year and folks would still pay.
