I guess it’s supply chain issues with the deer too.

Probably due to the LA non resident fishing license going up.
Seems like this has been going on for years.

I live in TN but my farm is in MS.
Fortunately I have a lifetime license.

My son however does not and he turned 16 this year. For everything for him (started bow hunting this year) it was over $400.

If it stops just one outlaw from crossing the border on to our WMAs it will be a success…. I say make it $300. Or make it a draw like Iowa, oh the deer we could have.

I wish a non-resident could buy a lifetime. Even if it was around $3k, I would get it.

Yup, they slipped that in, Now there is a $50 turkey permit as well!!!!

Years ago you could buy a non resident lifetime and I think it was $3k but they stopped that

50$ isn’t going to change anything really….. they will pay it. Hell, they could make it $100 and people would pay it. I’m for it going as high as possible if it curbs the pressure our WMAs get. I’ve lived in several states and I hunt multiple states every year and nothing compares to the pressure our WMAs get from out of state. It’s impressive really, it’s not just our fans that travel well lol.

Of course we will pay it. That’s the problem. The state knows they can charge whatever they want. As for the WMAs, maybe they should put a charge on that. A fee to hunt them

Agreed, 50$ is still super cheap in comparison to other states.

Taxation without representation.

Extreme fees for non residents is anti hunting.

The $50 is in addition to the $300 big game license and $75 primitive weapon license

$5?!

I’ve paid way more than that in Mississippi for a 7 day license since I can remember.
