First Trip to *Buc-ees*

10/10 experience (Tennessee):
-each toilet was a completely closed room, not a stall, and was ridiculously clean for a gas station
-four cashiers welcome you as soon as you walk inside
-the smell of brisket in the air
-amazing jerky bar
-three employees working a dessert station
-i haven't seen 79 cent fountain drinks since the early 2000s
-an actual Cinnabon station
-i've never seen so many non-diesel gas pumps before in my life
-in a time when places are closing due to staffing issues, it's amazing how well staffed this gas station was--like 15+ employees.
The OT has made me a believer: this place is a must-stop during a road trip.
It's a damn shame we don't have one in Louisiana yet.

Their hot and spicy jerky is the best. Get it from the deli, not the pre-package.
And their Sammiches look small for $8 but you should get one.
The ham turkey and bacon on them is good and plentiful.

I've driven across Texas on long road trips about a dozen times and Buc-ees lives up to the hype in comparison to other gas stations.

I pooped at buc-ees for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was great. There were sanitizer AND toilet cleaning supplies in each stall. I have never been so comfortable pooping in a public place before.

We were coming back from hunting in Freer a couple years back. A guy with us had to take a dump badly late at night, so we stop at Buc-ees in Wharton and he runs to the bathroom. He's pooping away and realizes a tampon trash can next to him and women's voices. He realizes he went to the wrong bathroom because the bathrooms are reversed from the ones we are used to when we stop at the Buc-ees on I-10 east of Houston.
He waited for the voices to go away and got the hell out of there. We still laugh about it from time to time.
