Going stay in da quarters with some out of towners this weekend. Don’t want to do any of the “old” places like gallatoires. What’s new and great? Also need one poboy place.
Willing to Uber places as well.

Killer Poboys
The FQ isn't the place to go for new and exciting since its geared for tourists and there are a lot of places that have been around awhile. that being said, there are some awesome places:
Palm & Pine is "new" and very different, and very good.
Jewel of the South is one of the best modern cocktail bars in the country and they have food.
The Will and The Way is getting good reviews, from the Leblanc restaurant group.
Sylvain is always good.
Doris Metropolitan for steak, my favorite steakhouse in the city.
Brennan's is "old" but what they have been doing lately is excellent imo.
R'evolution might be the best fine dining restaurant in the city.
Dian Xian is really good chinese food.
Justine is maybe the most "instagramable" (ugh) restaurant in the city. The food is very average for such a good chef (La Petite Grocery), but it is a nice atmosphere. Chicks like it.

We have always enjoyed the grape vine. They have wine specials twice a day on their house wine and the food is above average.

Johnny’s poboys close to Decatur

Sylvain gets my vote. Tableau can be really hit or miss on dinner, but a cocktail and an order of their truffle crab claws is a nice way to start off a night.

Sylvain is my favorite restaurant in the quarter, but Doris Metropolitan is right up there too. Fantastic place.
