Yeah totally an accident that this policy was written in thought out legalese and put in the terms and conditions. frickin idiots.

Fortune Magazine

quote:

As critics call for users to delete PayPal accounts, the company apologies for the confusion and claims the new policy set to go into effect on Nov. 3 was all just an innocent mistake.

It’s actually insulting they think we’re stupid enough to believe something this specific could be an accident.

I will be working on making sure I don't have any automated payments setup via Paypal and closing my account shortly.

It was such a profound misstep that I almost do believe it was a mistake. How can you be that out of touch when you’ve already been blasted from a stock standpoint?

Not a chance, they just completely lost their sense of the world outside the Silicon Valley bubble being a hell of a lot different.

CEO will probably lose their job over this.

You gotta imagine that the PayPal Board of Directors was like... You are going to do what?

That’s kind of my point - this kind of thing doesn’t just happen on a whim. Multiple people would have had to clear it, or, someone went rogue. It just seems so obviously out of touch that the former seems almost impossible.

You must not know a lot of Progressives in real life, do you?

Their wet dream is to jail fellow Americans or censor them for different opinions. Let's not get started on what they want to do to your kids.

Let’s assume they followed through with the policy.

How do you think that would affect you based on how you use PayPal?
