It is a movement born out of legit economic issues, real issues with working conditions, and lots of communist propaganda. Things legitimately suck for a huge percentage of the working population with wages not keeping up with cost of living and shrinking massively in real dollars. People are working more and being able to afford less. Many have figured out how they can game entitlements to avoid working with little decrease to their standards of living. It’s a sign of a toxic economic and political climate right now.

If you’re like the company owners from the last thread, you’re happy as long as you can get maximum extraction at minimum cost from your employees. If they try to take back any leverage whatsoever, you’ll throw a hissy fit that will make a toddler blush. But hey, maybe you’re the exception

She was raised correctly. She learned exactly what I taught her. You get lazy you get gone. It's sad that it had to be reiterated in the real world but it is what it is

Then bitch that "Nobody wants to work". The phrase is nobody wants to work for the wage you're providing.

It's so funny to see the anger about not having enough employees, too. These are people making a choice to not work for a wage they deem insufficient. For whatever reason, the wage isn't enough. But these idiots want, what? Servitude? Slavery?

It sucks for the business owner, but that's why you're the business owner. Figure it out. Nobody owes anyone else anything. If you can't run a business without paying poverty wages, prepare to falter or have a really shitty company with shitty workers.

You don't have any leverage though. The company is mine. It belongs to me. I'll take care of you but if you frick me over a few times we are going to part ways.

To be lazy to the point of getting fired by some a-hole that fires his own kid for doing exactly what she was taught?

Great lesson, champ.

"Quiet Quiting" has always been a thing, it's just been call "Doing the bare minimum".

Internet Journalists have decided to re-label it and call it a "sudden spread".

I don't know who ya'll work for but again, I own this place and if I want to rub one out at my desk I can. If you are supposed to be working then that's between you and your employer

The leverage they have is that they can leave. When they ask for more money and leave when it’s not provided, do you whine about their lack of “loyalty”?

Have fun having a business that can never do more work than the work of one person.

You need workers, how do you not realize that?

What is a person basing something like this on? How does an individual calculate fair value? Market data gets you in the ballpark, but there are a lot of variables unique to individual orgs that aren't typically factored into industry averages.
