So my appointment is at 9:45? What is this time warp medical people live in? I get it all the time, the magic 15 minutes that doesn’t exist.

adults usually try to be at any meeting/appointment 15 minutes early.

Most people show up 15 minutes late.

The best part is show up 15 minutes early to wait until 10 minutes after your appointment time to then go back into the room and wait another 25 minutes.
It's why I went to a concierge practice.

Because most people are lazy fricks who show up a few minutes late. So they give themselves a buffer for people like that.

If you tell someone to show up at 10;45, they might be there by 11. A lot of people have no sense of time, or are just so incompetent in managing their personal lives they can't keep appointments.

I'll bet OP shows up at the gate 5 minutes before a plane in scheduled to depart and then blames the airline when they end up missing the flight.

Pretty standard young lad.
You’ll start to understand more as you grow up.

Bc they want to update your info if there has been any changes with insurance or address, also they need to ask you COVID questions and collect your Co-pay
I had a 2:30 apt the other day and they asked me to be there at 2:00
I got there about 2:15 but I was outta there by 3:00

Your appointment is at 8, you show up at 745, the doc doesn't arrive until 845.

We ask all of our new patients to arrive 30 minutes prior to fill out the new patient information.
Also, showing up early actually helps because if the folks in front of you cancel, we can see you early.
Bc you know, some people just don't show up to their appts.

They say this because for many people, they will see that their appointment start at 10, so they will not arrive until 10:15.
If you tell them to arrive 15 minutes early, then hopefully they actually show up at their assigned time of 10.

I've got no problem with it. Sometimes you get in early. Other times shite happens and you get in later. I think they try to create a buffer if a patient takes up more time than normal.
