ok. so why does that have to affect the responsible people that show up on time?

If you're late then though shite, we'll fit you in when we can.

If your flight is at 10:00 and boarding is at 9:30, that doesn’t make your flight 9:30.

I had an apt to get blood work at 930 the other morning, I showed up at 745 because they opened up at 700.

I was outta there by 815. It only takes 10mins to draw blood.

If my flight is at 10:00 I get there as early as I can and sit at the bar until my zone is called

I had to take my grandpa to his cardiologist appointment last week. The appointment was at 11. We got there at 10:30, waited an hour and 15 minutes only to see someone deliver lunch and have every single person in the office disappear for another 45 minutes and come back smiling like we hadn’t been sitting there for 2 hours.

It's $2,000 a year actually. And I get a lot more than that. They have a sports physiologist and dietician that I see probably ever couple months and I have access to my Dr anytime I need it. Which more than paid for itself when my wife broke her humerus in Ut last year and we had Baylor coordinating care from Houston and finding the best surgeons in the area to do it. Anytime I need anything done rather than getting monkey fricked around for a week going to different specialist, it gets handled right then because we'll just go to a different floor and grab an ortho or whatever and deal with it.

According to my grandpa, if you're 15 minutes early, you're on time. If not, you're late.

I hate this shite. If you want the meet at 7:45 say so. Don't get pissy when people do what you told them to do, because you don't know how language works. If people are actually late, make them pay the consequences.

Come 15 minutes early, so you can wait 45 minutes to be called back to see the doctor.

This is EXACTLY how I feel about this. If they want us to be punctual then they should be held to it as well. Medical appointments are a joke, there are endless waiting areas. Show up for appointment, wait for them to call you. Then you get escorted to a smaller, individual waiting room. It's typical to wait 1-2 hours after arrival, regardless whether I showed up 15mins early or not.

Your apt to see the Dr is at 1045....we ask that you arrive 15 minutes early so we can update your info.

Whats the fricking problem with that? Sorry if you have to wait in the waiting room an extra 10 minutes but if the person ahead of you would have showed up early like we asked them to then we wouldnt be backed up.

WTF is wrong with some of you people

And people bitch about having to see NP/PA's...it helps keeping the flow of patients moving.

They say this because for many people, they will see that their appointment start at 10, so they will not arrive until 10:15.

This is why doctors run behind. 2-3 late appointments and they are 40 minutes behind. They might make up some of that over lunch, but by 3pm they are an hour behind schedule because some inconsiderate assholes couldn't get to the appointment on time.
