Simply put, it’s an entitled mentality. For whatever reason, she feels entitled to take money from whatever source she can get it.
In latoya’s case, I’m sure there it’s a sense of entitlement stemming from race and gender. Black and female. These two things, in her mind, have her convinced that she is justified because in her mind they’re two aspects of her self that people have bias’ against.

If it isn’t part of her official duties, I have a feeling the city council will find a way to deny her.
Either that or hold her up for the full amount she needs to pay back for the plane ticket and other things before covering the lawyer costs.

She could pay for it pretty easily by just awarding a few more contracts to Hard Rock Construction to not really fix a few more streets just like Mitch did. If anyone ever wants to bring either one of them down you just need to take a hard look at Hard Rock

They’re trying to find a way to dock her pay from next fiscal year’s budget. They have to go through legal dept to make sure it’s kosher and of course deal with the potential that Latoya will fire back with a lawsuit which could end up costing the city more than the 30,000 it lost on her fat apetite for first class travel.
As far as I’m concerned, the council has to do something or the precedent set by Queen Latoya will just lead to a string of misspending

I think it goes further than that. She didn't come from a successful professional career. She was a "grass roots" activist. These types see donated money as earned income. A dollar donated to the movement is a dollar to spend at their whim. Pretty clear she's never tried to differentiate between public moneys and personal income. The comingling of funds is a huge issue for those types of people.
