About four sections missing and one of the beach roadways has completely disappeared. Gonna need the Army engineers to build a new one.

frick im jealous. That's what made me want to go to school for meteorology in the first place. Found out later that I would probably have trouble getting in due to my color blindness so that killed that dream.

TD is lowkey one of the best weather boards (somehow), especially in hurricanes. Glad its drawing people like him to drop in.

The Canadian firm that brought in the Bailey Bridges in Alabama and Louisiana when the hurricanes floated off the spanning segments can handle a couple of segments missing. After talking with some of them (I-10 over Pontchartrain) they do this all over the world.

We have legitimate meteorologists, a Hurricane Hunter, and posters giving reports from the ground in seemingly every hurricane. It’s incredible. I appreciate everyone who contributes their time and knowledge to these threads. I’m glad to get to be a very tiny part of them.

Yeah that was my first thought as well. Talk is maybe using some barges to get people off Sanibel. But the bay has to just be littered with debris and navigational hazards.

Another neighbor was trying to find her skis to take across the bay and survey damage.

STORM coming....48 hrs. + warning of FLOODING...what, they forgot about their vehicle ???? stupidity at its' highest !

People with those kind of cars have multiple cars, who's driving all of them during the evacuation?

And if you decide to take the P1, you now are bringing no luggage or personal belongings with you. So you don't take the P1, you take the Escalade and hope for the best with the P1. Some of yall are being absolutely retarded in regard to this.
