I know a lot of people hate reddit's layout and all, but the Tropical Weather subreddit is a fantastic resource for information. The main post has links to all sorts of imagery and data, and some actual USAF forecasters and others post there.

there is also a master list of livestreams on the ground, local TV, and static cams. I can post all these streams in a new thread, rummy if needed. or someone else can

Is this a spot on the bingo card?

Some comparisons on wind field sizes:

Katrina was hurricane force 125 miles tropical storm force 230 miles. An absolute shitmonster that was weakening and the wind field was unraveling and expanding.

She's basically in beginning section of PGI.
She's not really in a good spot.
Surge there is not looking very favorable.

Catasrophic wind.

Catastrophic surge.

Catastrophic rainfall and flooding.

These are the last hours to prepare or escape before conditions worsen and #Ian arrives in south and central Florida.

Yes sir. Just on the other side of the Manatee River.

Got you. They keep showing the north eye wall coming over me. I wouldnt mind it dropping south just to make me feel better .

We are getting some winds ramping up now. Gusting up pretty good. Not as much rain as wind

Unfortunately people die today because everyone talked about Tampa for two days then it shifted and people said "I survived Charley when the same thing happened." Not understanding Charley was 5 miles wide.

Katrina wrecked shop in Mississippi. It was overshadowed by the levee failure just how wide the destruction really was.

I think what he means is Naples is not "just south" of Tampa.
