CBS primetime game is set for Week 6.

If LSU had beaten Florida State the odds of Tennessee@LSU being the CBS primetime game would actually be pretty high. Hell odds are still creeping up as the season plays out.

Can't see CBS not using their 6 day option before this week of games.

Before that week Texas A&M has to play Arkansas and Mississippi State. Texas A&M could legitimately be 2-3 going into Alabama and no way CBS would want that as their primetime game.

What if LSU goes to Auburn and works Auburn over? Auburn is 3-2 going to Georgia and Georgia is going to destroy Auburn. Would CBS not care and just want to showcase #1 Georgia? Maybe.

If LSU beats Auburn they're sitting 4-1 on a program upswing. Need Tennessee to beat Florida this week.

Probably still a long shot but don't sleep on that Tennessee @ LSU matchup sneaking its way into primetime.

Unless Jimbo and Saban are seen holding hands on the beach, aTm and Bama will be primetime

LSU needs to beat Auburn to get the 2:30 slot

I’m ok with 2:30. Seems like less folks leave early

CBS probably has their eye on Tennesse Vs UGA or Kentucky vs UGA for prime time. Possibly Tennessee vs Bama. Just a guess. All depending on their records and rankings going in to those games.

CBS already locked in their primetime game as week 6. They were wanting it to be a top 5 matchup between Alabama and Texas A&M. Texas A&M being el toro poopoo has opened up some possibilities.

Not necessarily. Seen an excuse where folks had to leave because it was hot and sun was beating them down on the east side

Tennessee eating tPoopoo for so long probably holds us down here. They definitely want bama or uga in that slot. Maybe LSU-UF like the old days but Mark Stoops already broke one off in sun belt billy

That CBS Primetime game was already chosen before the season started. A&M at Bama.

LSUfan4444 doesn't understand that a #18 LSU vs #7 Tennessee (or something close to that) is better television than #2 Bama vs 2-3 Texas A&M all because Saban and Jimbo were mean to each other a few months ago.

Now if A&M only has 1 loss or we lose to Auburn then yeah it's a no brainer. But LSU/Tenn being the primetime game is 100% possible as of now.

Week 6 was selected as the primetime game because that's when Texas A&M and Alabama play. But the game has not been selected yet.

From 2013 through 2018 how many times was the Alabama-LSU game chosen ahead of time for primetime? I don't think any, except CBS always selected the date of that game and later announced it as the primetime game.

Arkansas would have to beat A&M 77-0 to have Tennessee-LSU in primetime.

Does the game have to be CBS? Any chance it’s ESPN prime time game?

I think it would have to be on the SEC Network in prime time.

I mean it's what this entire thread is about. I don't really have anything to argue anymore though. Either you think it's possible that LSU/Tenn is the primetime game or you don't, in which case this whole thread is irrelevant.
