Does the game have to be CBS? Any chance it’s ESPN prime time game?

If LSU beats Auburn, which we all want them to, the Tennessee game will probably be at 2:30 on CBS. CBS has two games Week 6. Winner of LSU/Auburn probably gets the 2:30 CBS game.

I thought someone said earlier cbs has Bama and Texas am as their prime time game.

Not according to this .

aTm could easily lose another game or maybe even 2 before that weekend.

It's definitely possible if A&M continues to look like shite and drops the next 2. If we are 4-1 and Tenn is 4-0 the media could pump up the game as traditional SEC West and East powerhouses trying to retake their respective places in the conference.

CBS already locked in their primetime game as week 6.

Ah, I see that now. I thought CBS had more flexibility in scheduling their prime time game.

Not really. CBS is going to get Bama/aTm, but if aTm comes limping into that game with another loss or two, and LSU/Tenn show up with one loss between the two of them, the LSU game is way more attractive for a night game. Both historical programs climbing their way back to the top, LSU doing so much more quickly than anyone anticipated. Which one takes the next step to knock Bama down another peg.

The lead up to this game is going be be buy or sell the winner of this game being the #3 team in the SEC.

If this was a Tennessee game from 1996-2002 it would most definitely be a 2:30 CBS game.

I can’t think of any other SEC team that played more 2:30 games than Tennessee in their heyday.

This was always going to be the prime time game no matter what. A&M could be winless and they still would do it. All bc of them upsetting bama last year and esp the feud between jimbo and saban in the off season. I would love for me to be wrong but I just don’t see it. From a game wise I think it’s a horrible prime time matchup. Bama is going to blow them out the water.

Every hotel room in Baton Rouge is booked for the Tennessee game. Unless something else is going on at the same time, something is in the works holding rooms for the Tenn game

Tennessee drums Billy boy
A&M drops next 2
LSU grinds out Auburn

You’d need each one to happen (and then it’s still prob a long shot)

Will say, and real cfb fans would agree, A cross division game of top 10 Tennessee at a surging LSU is way sexier than 8&4 at the Gumps.

We already know Cbs will really be going out of there way attempting to (re)strum up Saban Jimbo saga. Storyline is what ppl will tune in for at kickoff, they’ll flip to ESPN once they realize its just a mid-off. (Really hope I’m wrong)
