This is great news...put him on the edge and let him say hello to Will.

He also looks bigger than 220.

I saw him covering a KO and wearing #40 and thought LSU found a loophole to get Devin White more eligibility.

Once Perkins learns the system our D becomes significantly better. He's got elite physical skills. I think he has the physical tools to develop into a Micah Parsons type LB.

Parsons was the first player that popped in my mind. The Cowboys basically just tell Parsons to get to the QB by any means necessary. They send him from all over the field. I don't know how that would work in LSU's scheme but I think he could be used that way.

But I don't know if that works against an offense like Miss State. They might opt to use Perkins' short area quickness and agility to defend crossing routes and the flats. I don't know how he'll be used but I'm excited to see him out there. I mean, it's not like he's going to be any worse than what we saw against FSU.

Are they? I assumed that was out of necessity due to BJ being out. They seem to really like Little too. It’ll be interesting to see how House uses him tomorrow and the rest of the season. You can get really creative with him due to his athleticism. But tomorrow is not a “pin your ears back and go get the QB” kind of game.

MSU will run short crossing patterns all night until we show we can stop them. HP has to make the receivers pay dearly when they catch the pass and not allow them to catch and run on the slants. That means our LB's and safeties HAVE TO lineup closer to the LOS and not allow passes to be caught underneath the coverage as we did against FSU. That is what MSU is hoping we will do. We HAVE TO challenge MSU to make the long throw, and hopefully we can improve our pass rush such that MSU does not have time to make the long throw. If we don't do this, we will suffer the same fate as FSU game imho, and lose another close game.

Our defense held FSU to 7 points in the 1st half. We should have had a comfortable lead at half. Offense le5 us down for 3 quarters. Everybody is acting like our defense sucked.
They we’re on the field to long. Sick of hearing this air-raid shite we are going to give up some yards so what. They have to stop Jayden bigger task for them.

So patiently sit in a zone off the line of scrimmage with no pressure? Sounds like a 3rd and exponentially worse FSU defense

Mostly, yes. Every now and then go after the QB, but rarely. Lull him to sleep, then go. And also rarely, man up.But most of the time sit in a few zones and be patient. Now and then drop a DE into coverage and hope to get a cheap interception.

State will probably move the ball between the 20’s, but stall as they run out of real estate. That’s how you beat Leach, unless you can just outman him - but we can’t.

I think he’s coming in for Penn or jones because he can run with the crossers. Unless bj is out

Just wait until they start drawing him up some plays on offense…

HP is a game changer. Can’t wait to see him start taking over games.

And some say he just might be our best RB, too.

I certainly hope Perkins gets a lot of playing time. He’s the type of LB the Tigers need to have a chance.
