You probably just misinterpreted some sarcastic comments about him 
think he’s well liked but he’ll disappear for a couple weeks and release a video of him at a Wednesday night SEC baseball game and talk about being the voice of the SEC

Mintzy got lucky Ole Miss won the CWS are he would be gone by now. He really doesn't seem to do anything content wise that is worth a damn. He was supposed to bring college baseball betting stuff, but Barstool Sportsbook had some of the worst betting for the CWS.
His 7 straight nights of Grateful Dead concerts were pretty cringe.

He’s basically a barstool travel blogger
Gets paid to live his dream and come out with a “ sup fellas..” 1 minute video wherever he his that often looks like it’s filmed through a potato
He doesn’t actually work.
He just goes to concerts constantly
Also.. how anything ever gets done in the barstool office blows my mind . It’s a pigsty with shite stacked up so high and you’ve got people like frank the tank in there yelling and hollering

Barstool tweeted out then deleted a video of some Alex stein guy who is apparently a right wing hero.
Stein whined on Twitter and portnoy said they deleted it bc it mentioned irresponsible gambling stuff and their parent company has rules against posting shite like that.
Stein then went on Jason Whitlocks show and said Mintz called him and had an off the record conversation about portnoy .
