They’ll get a week or two of content out of this and then it’ll be back to business as usual. Portnoy doing the whole “threaten to fire xxxxx person on Twitter” is a template of theirs at this point

Mintz is very cringe and I'm not even going to get into Alex Stein. Anybody in politics just plain sucks.
I honestly wonder if this is Portnoy playing chess not checkers. Mintz brings absolutely no money into barstool. He exists for Dave and Big Cat to make fun of. I almost think this is a way to cut his dead weight as content instead of his contract just not getting renewed because he doesn't do anything

I used to enjoy barstool from time to time, but their overall antics are just becoming too much.

Plenty of people don’t do anything over there and stick around. And given the recent Penn stuff, I doubt he cares all that deeply about the outlook of barstool content

I doubt that. They launched 2-3 other pods around the same time with similar levels of success
Not sure people realize how much money Spittin Chicklets and Fore Play make. Chicklets I think is far outpacing PMT at this point with all the added brand deals and other content they’ve been able to accomplish. The Macafee pod came in around the same time too
They went all in on podcasting at the right moment when podcasting was booming. PMT was huge obviously but they’d probably still be a wagon without it
