I wasn’t implying the city caused it. They do allow it, for whatever reason.

Yeah man, this is totally a ragtag band of tweens riding their Huffys on a wholesome adventure.

Not dozens of hoodlums creating a dangerous and deadly situation on the interstate

You go to the city to enjoy football. Then you say you hope you don’t have to go to the city.

All you wusses who take advantage of what you like about NO but then put the city down ,crack me up.

Re read what I wrote. I said I’m glad I don’t have to go often. I didn’t say I hope I don’t ever have to go back.

It's cute that you think they bought those.

That’s generous of you to assume the bikes were actually purchased by the people riding them.

Yeah it's gotten more common. NOPD won't chase them usually.
They'll cross the river bridge too.
And sometimes shut down Claiborne or St Claude to do burn outs.

I knew someone who was killed crossing the interstate after his car broke down. His family tried to sue the driver of the car. It was determined the as the pedestrians were not allowed on the interstate for no reason. He was not supposed to be a pedestrian in the lane. He was at fault totally and there is no reason to expect a driver to prepare for a pedestrian in the highway. I'm sure it's similar for off road vehicles.

Yea, I know it's crazy for people to have a reasonable expectation of public safety and speak ill of lawlessness/crime. Just a crazy concept.

How about we shouldn't have to put up with that shite to "take advantage" of what we like about NOLA?

(And some of us have roots going back generations in New Orleans. We don't have to earn it's advantages by putting up with this shite or being victims of violent crime.)

Not to worry, it's just the Mayor's mobile welcoming committee to visitors. Feel free to donate if you are asked to contribute to their worthy cause.

Sad that NOLA leadership is letting the city be run by gangs and thugs.

The OP went to NO.
Saw the Saints.
Had fun.

And guess what….
….
….
….
….
….

NOTHING BAD HAPPENED.

Dude came home safe. Dude wasn’t a victim of a crime. Dude had fun. The only issue is he saw some black kids doing what they do every Sunday in NO and he thought it was crazy! So the city is TRASH!
