I am currently on a road trip in the NE and you wouldn't believe the number of EV's up here. They have these "service centers" off the interstate with massive banks of chargers and they are all full with people waiting every time I pulled in over the last four days. I laughed as I filled up and left. People waiting hours to recharge their car. LoL

Can you provide a reference? Totally believe this just want to cite something if needed
REZVANI: If you want to qualify for the full $7,500 today, the car has to be assembled in North America. And this one requirement alone has already disqualified dozens of EVs from the tax credit. Automakers like Hyundai or Toyota are out, but certain Ford models, certain Rivian models, the Nissan Leaf - they're among cars that still qualify for now.

I've read better articles over the past week but this one works for your request.
*It should be noted that this bill reinstates the government paid "rebates" that most manufacturers had already maxed out with 200k cars.

It is affecting salaried workers only, no union workers are losing their jobs.
Won’t find any salaried workers casting blocks/heads…building engines or transmissions either.
Those baws gonna be out of work too.

I really do hope a market of nice but old school ICE car companies pop up from all of this. I would buy cars that aren't full of tech but nicely done. Back to the basics before all the crazy tech.
Back up camera is about the most I'd be cool with.

I will resist ever having an EV with every fiber of my being.

ANd the profit margins are HUGE on EVs....and they need less engs, mgrs, workers, etc....
The race to EVs will destroy the world economy!

White collar jobs *typically* are not union.
And Mexican blue collar jobs don't pay uaw dues, unless the GND has a kickback to the Mex president to mandate UAW unions on the lines.

How are they going to afford those $100,000 electric trucks if they don't have jobs.
